but i hear that once you pass the initial drug test you are given lots of warning if there is another one, so once i'm 'in', life can return to normal, and music will sound as good as it used to.
how long is long enough?
any of you cats ever have to do this?
how did you pass yours?
ever use the 'special detox' teas and such?

My bro had to pass one once (he's an elementary school teacher... and a d*mn good one, I might add), and he chiefs like Hiawatha. But he busted out the detox tea (I don't know the particulars: how many packets, how long beforehand, what brand, etc.), but it worked for him.
I've heard the FBI are able to detect minute amounts of most drugs and can tell if you done a lot of them even once like 20 years ago... but with weed, I think you should just cleanse really good the day before/a few hours before, and I'm hoping you'll be fine.
If I was getting into toxicology forensics (and not genetic/DNA forensics), then I'd know more about it, but I never got the knowledge, and I'm definitely not speaking from first-hand experience, so DQMOT, homie.

Alternatively get some piss of a clean mate, if you've got any, and then use his/hers... pretty rank, but better than not getting a job right? Unless they're actually gonna wanna watch the stream of piss going going in to the cup. Crazy yanks... -

Posts: 50Posted 16 years ago #I used Ready Clean, and sh!t went swimmingly. I keep a bottle in my locker at work in case of a random test. Drink bottle one hour before taking test, fill it back up with water and drink that. No-one gets it over here except the cops and the army, and maybe doctors i think... so OTT... damn the man, why so much hate for the stoners? You can get drunk and aggressive and it's all good, but smoke and be full of peace and laziness for your fellow man, and your a social outcast. I hate these idiots, these sheep, who think that weed is bad for you, or worse for you than alcohol i should say. And hell yeah, weed is bad for you. But everything except filtered water and filtered air is bad for you, so wtf...

the company i am hoping to work for is pretty straight laced, though... they don't even have booze (or even beer) at company parties and functions. go figure... but its a private company so they can pretty much do whatever they want.
also, the job i'm going for is driving Tugs, so i can sorta understand why they wouldn't want a junkie behind the wheel pulling a gazilion dollar oil tanker into port.
thanks for all the tips and advice guys...
from the research i have done, it seems like the best way to ensure you will pass a drug test is... not to do drugs.
now where's my gold star?

If all goes according to plan, you could smoke beadies out the window of your tug, whilst pulling the gazillion dollar oil tanker no? Everyone knows that stoned drivers are the safest drivers...

so, as it turns out, i ended up getting a job driving a tug for a huge construction project right here in the town where i live... ie: no going away to sea for months on end. (the girlf is happy about that)
super fun and challenging work, ridiculously excellent money, and the best part:
NO DRUG TESTS.
i'm stoked.
just thought i'd give y'all an update. -

i scored.
last night i had my first tokes in about 6 months...
practically put me on my ass, holy damn.
i felt like i was 16 again.
the cool thing about the whole job thing is it is for a Quebec company (i live in New Brunswick, Canada) and it just so happens that i speak french (albeit half-assedly) so i'm like gold to these guys. (none of them really speak english)
now if i could only get paid extra for all the translating i do! ha.
f***ing sweet gig man, pushing barges around a river all day, lots of rigging and heavy lifting with winches and cranes and stuff.
i'm just like a big kid with that stuff. i love it.
my first purchase with all my new found riches is a 3/4 upright Bass.
very excited.
