I think I'd downloaded (errrrrkkkk... don't do that so much anymore) a bunch of PUTS in college just after Stepfather came out, but I was being really lazy about having an open mind, so I was a little "nah... not for me."... I mean, I'd probably literally only heard a minute or two of Question (I think... I think it might've been Stay Home or We'll Be There or something).
Later, I heard "Shoot Your Shot" by Ugly Duckling (who I was really diggin'), and I really liked the homies' rap, so I gave them a second try. When I heard "Hang Loose" (which is probably their most accessible early song... I'm such a d*mn lightweight... still like it tho, haha), I got hooked, and then "The Dig" and "The Outrage" were like a one-two punch combo on my soul. After that, I went back and listened to everything, and it sorta blossomed outward from there.
Long story short, I don't remember the FIRST song I heard, but "The Hang Loose" was my first joint.
I'd also fallen on some hard times at one point shortly thereafter, and I remember "More Than You Know" being another really really strong favorite of mine (hence, the title of my lyrics site).
