If you could have one superpower what would it be and what would be your superhero name?
i would have the ability to teleport anywhere i wanted, then i wouldnt have to pay to get in places i wanted to go, or flights and sh!t. Cud go see the P in brazil, pop to the dam for a smoke and be back in my own bed by breakfast. lol.
i think my name would have to be Supertight... lol.

He's just a shock jock who defines the word "windbag". I don't know, I think people like him and Ann Coulter and Glenn Beck and all those other people are as fake as professional wrestling. I think it's a trumped-up act put on to make their demographic laugh and feel big, but I bet when they get home at night, they probably drop a lot of the extremism and live like the rest of us. Not a very noble profession.

1) to have this mental "twang" happen every time the PUTS start a concert (think "spidey sense"), and
2) to be able to instantly transport over there, INSIDE of the venue (thereby excluding the need for a ticket)
And yeah, Rush and his "ilk" are really just talk show hosts and not agents of Satan, I know... I just hate when people utilize other people's dissention to get rich. Maybe I'm just p*ssed I'm not doing that. -

On the superpower topic:
I would love the ability to manipulate time/space any which way I want. This superpower automatically is the greatest. You can be anywhere/anytime you want. You can pause time, study for a test that starts in 20 seconds that you forgot. When you get your test back, and find a mistake, you can go back and correct that sh!t. Badass.
Not to mention the infinitely more fun you'd have in everyday life. (i.e. See a random fine chick, make daring/risky moves, see if it works, if it does, SWEET, if it doesnt, turn sh!t back and keep walkin -

someone made an interesting point the other day, it was related to the fact there's a lot of crap in newspapers, but he was saying that because there is awful journalism out there, it demonstrates that democratic free speech is working and really helps you realise good journalism when you see it. -

Rush Limbaugh is not to be dismissed at "just a looney", a lot of people give him creedance and believe the hate he spews, and to underestimate his influence is to leave the US open to the rise of facism. Also he's widely regarded as a lead figure, if not the lead figure, of the republican party. You won't be thinking he's a loony when he's dictating foreign and domestic policy. People don't take the threat he poses seriously enough.

Democracy of media is not about letting the sh!t in with the good, it's about content not quality. If sh!t media is un-sourced, knee jerk, reactionary and hate stirring, it is not a democratic right to have it in the realm of free democratic information. Democracy is about allowing everyone to speak their minds, not about giving a platform to hate mongering.
And i don't think that the "you have to have the dark to see the light" arguement works with fox news. It would if it was just a tiny aspect, but MOST of the people in america are informed by fox. It has the highest ratings of any news station. So the sh1te that they spew is what most americans inform themselves with. And you wonder why your country is slowing slipping into authoritarian facism. -

Look, I agree with you on a lot of this, but if we take all that you just said here as true (that he's a serious threat, etc.), what would your solution be to all this? I mean... reactionary language is one thing, but coming up with viable solutions is another...

It's one thing to be upset about it (you and I both are), but the American general public are going to keep falling for all this, and I don't really think being outspoken about progressiveness and liberal viewpoints is really going to change a lot of conservative-leaning (or conservative-tricked) minds... and I could say "well, f*ck it, let them kill themselves", but that's a little stupid because they may take me down with them... so yeah, what would you do? -

Haha, I'm not that charismatic or ambitious... but hey, here's hoping. To change the world, sometimes you gotta get your feet dirty, though, for sure. Just stick to your ideals while you're tricking 'em.
