Posted 16 years ago #So i have been busting my ass trying to organize this live project but everyone's schedules are all f--ed up and communication has been lackluster. Now this isn't to say it won't happen, but timing might not be ideal right now.
That said, as part of the store launch i wanted to have a few projects available and this was one of them. If i can't get it done, or it looks like the art will have to be compromised to hit the schedule, would you be interested in
4xVinyl - Thes One presents "The Instrumentals" 10 years of making beats
A selection of instrumentals from 10 years of commercial releases that haven't ever seen the light of day. Roughly 60 classic instrumentals.
Limited pressing of 200 units in commemorative wood case with photo booklet

Posted 16 years ago #Let me temper that with, I'm sure you would want it, but would you be willing to pay a considerable amount for it, considering that it wouldn't be cheap to make because i would want the packaging to be classic and timeless, and something that would last forever (thus the custom wood crate).
I mean, knowing it would appreciate, would you pay a healthy sum for this sort of thing? -
Posted 16 years ago #yep...if i was willing to drop over a hun on basically a puts skateboard deck (since i already have the vinyl and cd) ....i wud be down for that.
this sounds dope...i like the wood crate idea...keep it comin' thes
...how much we talkin? im sure id be in tho -

Super dope release!!!
I guess most cats here really appreciate your beats and having those on 4 pieces of wax would be a dream.
in fact my girlfriend got me a private press lp for my 30th birthday including the 6th cup and the dj day remix of step bacc as those beats are so sick and i wanted them on vinyl. All these digital releases and sh!t are cool to me, but a vinyl release is just my cup of tea.
go for it, i'm down with it.
peace from the wax. -

6th cup on vinyl....daaaaamn!!....im jealous...sounds like a good woman u got there -
Posted 16 years ago #wow, should i put that on there? theres so much stuff i know i'm forgetting things.
I just went through my files and i think this is going to be amazing.
lots of unreleased beats too, like the stuff i did for NBC -
Posted 16 years ago #i would definitely buy any instrumentals up, especially especially of unreleased material. i really like the custom crate idea too... with all the PUTS vinyl i have, an official crate of some sort would be perfect. as far as 6th cup, i would first soil my underwear, drop dead, rise from said dead, soil once more, than buy buy buy!
also what stuff did you do for NBC thes? -
Posted 16 years ago #it's to be seen!

ummm...yeah u should!...or u could just release that sounclash battle on vinyl...thanks to u thes...i now relate to the track "dig"...buying wax b4 i buy food...lol
...well thats a line from 43 labels ...but u got the idea
...also...i love that beat "falling" from the xmas cd...that would be a good one to add... -
Posted 16 years ago #What about a CD Version? While I respect the classicness of vinyl, I just don't own a turntable. With the CD version, you could create the liner notes booklet that included a history behind every beat. Throw in some old pictures to describe what inspired the beats.
It could be packaged something along the lines of the John Coltrane The Classic Quartet: Complete Impulse! Studio Recordings
http://www.amazon.com/COLTRANE-Classic-Quartet-Complete-Recordings/dp/B00000DHZ9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1266014079&sr=1-1
I bought this back in like 1999 and the design of it is dope.
Toss in some unreleased stuff and I'll gladly pay $80-$100 for it. -

man u gotta get a ttable -
Posted 16 years ago #damn a cd would mean alot. I dont have a turntable, i used to back in 2008. But like i would buy the cd even if its 100 dollars ill still buy it. But making the cd is alot of work, then just go with what your comfortable. but a cd would be awesome so i can just play it alot in the comfort of my home.
