Yep, Gang Starr was my morning and afternoon commute soundtrack. Was reciting random rhymes all day at work.

Posts: 818Posted 16 years ago #IDK how I was not really away of Gang Starr before (now that i heard a few songs I did recognize a few) but i was listening more lately and man there are so many good songs! I hate when I discover people after or right before their passing

Boombip, see if you can get your hands on Full Clip, it's bascially the best of Gangstarr, has a good range of songs and styles. -

"Jazzmatazz was about bringing the generations together," he stressed. Branford Marsalis and Donald Byrd put the word out amongst the other jazz cats that Guru is the man and is definitely doing his thing, from a hip-hop standpoint, but bridging the gap over to the jazz. I knew that Jazzmatazz would be timeless. It's adding life on to hip-hop."
Last year, Guru was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. In February, he went into cardiac arrest and fell into a coma. His advice to young rappers was simple. "Be honest with yourself, be original, be open to criticism, and be careful not to be surrounded by 'yes' men. I was always a fan as well as an artist."

That's not Guru's letter to the fans. That is all the work of the sick and twisted MC Solaar. I do not believe Guru wrote or said those words.
MC Solaar the french guy? Or Solar guru's producer?
