   So who's everyone supporting?
   
   Being scottish, my default team is whoever happens to be playing England
   
   But seriously, I'll be supporting the Dutch, might even have a little flutter on it...
   
   Also will be supporting the Japanese and the SOUTH Koreans... Don't think the North Koreans should be allowed to play to be honest.
   
   What about you americans? Are you still all "soccer is for girlz"?

   I really dislike football... like really cant stand it. As far as im concerned, i hope America wins and then get FIFA to change the name to the World Cup Soccer 2014 jus to annoy all the fans.
   
   Sooner england gets kicked out the better, we can all get back to far more intresting things that matter considerably more.
   
   Sorry to be a moany git and jump on ur thread but i just had to make my point clear, i can leave it nw wen evryones going on bou it. my summers goin to be spent sat with my mates watchin fekin footy coz they wont do neting else. i might take up a hobbie to pass the time, knitting could be an option.
   
   The only way i would watch it is if there were mines placed randomly on each pitch and the players were blindfolded. THAT could be intresting and worth a watch, winner is last team with players still standing... lol.
   
   Anyways, i know im in the minority on this one, so hope yall enjoy the world cup, im going to go live in a cave till this finishes. hahaha.

   I love football and I'm really just looking forward to watching some good games of football.
   
   I'll be supporting England although I'm not getting excited coz I can still remember the feeling in 2006 when we got knocked out... everyone else out in the garden with the bbq and me sat left on the sofa alone
   
   I'll also be supporting the Dutch, they have some great players.
   And they brought the world Total Football.
   
   Also the Ivory Coast coz Drogba is the best CF in the WORLD.
   He dives and can cheat but he is a powerhouse and his touch is unreal and if you were that good you'd be a bit of a prick haha.
   
   I'll also be backing all the Man City players and hoping they have good World Cups.
   
   England Vs USA should be very interesting.
   
   I'm just looking forward to some good games, some beers, some herb, some bbqs and generally having a good time.

    I think its kinda fishy about his sending off in the Champions league game a few days after the story broke... especially as there were rumours about him leaving Bayern. But then it could have just been playing on his mind.
    
    Also I'm not so sure it was him... he and another player (French player?) were apparently only friends with the perpetrator involved...
    
    
    But you're right that story disappeared quicker than the Iraq Inquiry

    crazy stuff. When the folks involved are as rich as footballers, literally, then they can just sweep sh1t under the carpet.
    
    I can't wait for a few world cup bbqs. I'll be watching it all at my flat or at a mates flat, can't be arsed sitting in a pub with some human beings I don't even know. Plus, i wouldn't be able to celebrate international unity with a big faatty boom batty super joint at every game...

    I'm all for supporting my country but some people can't see their team doing any wrong.
    Like how everyone goes on about how great English players are... but most of them are jobbies and how long did it takes commentators etc to realise how good Arshavin was?!!
    
    I plan to watch games at mine and at mates and maybe check the pub for one or two games.
    
    In 2006 I watched Englands opener in a pub in the next town and the atomsphere was amazing, someone brought a drum kit in and there were air horns and all sorts, people singing and chanting.
    
    But I very much doubt my local will be anything like that.
    
    And also the fatty boom batty factor goes against the pubs!

    Russia could be in with a good shout actually... I don't know how their players will handle the climate factor though. Do you think that'll make a big difference to teams? The heat/humidity etc?
    
    I know what you mean about the commentators. Guaranteed to send any scottish male into a rage... Even at the champions league final, they were going on about english teams and england. No need, no need.
    
    I can't believe capellos left out walcott, and andy johnson, two great players right there...

    Russia didnt qualify which is a bit of a downer coz I would have loved to have seen Andre running through teams.
    
    I think it could be a big factor.
    Not just the heat and the humility but also the altitude.
    Apparently the new World Cup ball behaves differently at higher altitudes?!
    And a lot of goalies dont like it.

    I bet Joe Harts fine with it... lol. I think he's a future legend.
    The way he behaved in a European penalty shoot out for Man City was outstanding for a 22 year old. So much confidence and ablity.
    When he came on for the 2nd half against Japan the defence seemed to gain more confidence. When you've got a great keeper behind you it makes you play better.

    The problem is we've got loads of right wingers all pretty good.
    Walcott has great pace and at times has delivered the goods.
    I wanted him to go but he's been given ample chances to show he can provide the goods on the regs but he didnt.
    
    He also would be so deadly in the centre.
    
    I think Lennon is a good choice... the little chav haha.
    And Wright-Phillips needs to do something special to really prove himself on the International stage.

    If the goalies don't like it, I think it'll be a good thing. More goals=better games as far as I'm concerned. Well not really, but sort of, you know what I mean...
    
    As for walcott, well I just wanted to see him play, I think he's exciting and direct, I like his style of play... He's f*ckin rapido too...

    Lennon and Shawny Wright Wright Wright are both awesome players...
    
    What about defoe? is he in the squad? He's a great wee player... I really like the wee fast skilled guys, cos that's the kind of guy I am ha ha...
