If anyone else can recommend some good hip hop orientated documentaries, I'd be much obliged. I've only really seen Scratch and Freestyle... and a sh!t load of DMC competitions...

The classis "Wildstyle" is a must for every hip hop lover. Has dope graf/breakin'/etc. from the early starts in NYC.
THCx for the "freestyle" tip dodo, I'll DEF be keepin' my eyes peeled for it...

How about Will I am trying to clown on Thes.. I already didn't like Will, but after watching him battle Thes I lost any respect, no matter how little, that I had left for him. Put your shirt back on tough guy... -

Posts: 1,874Posted 16 years ago #yeah, freestyle is immense. I like how they concentrate a lot on the spirituality of the art. Mos Def is the f*ckin maaaaan... It's a great documentary for introducing non-hip-hop-heads to the ideas and the motivation behind freestyling, and to show that it's not all 8 mile
I made my girlfriend watch it, and now she appreciates the skill of the art a bit more I think...
What are "the show" and "rhyme and reason"?
