just saw for the first time today that the P is playing THIS f***ing FRIDAY in NYC?!?!?!?!?
when/where was this show announced?
4 days is nowhere near enough lead time, despite the fact that we have the cash and (most likely) a free place to stay.
BEYOND bummed right now.

Posts: 122Posted 11 years ago #OceanMan a f***ing bummer that you can't make it to the show Friday! definitely an out of nowhere announcement from Thes, he announced it on IG the day you posted, especially cuz they're performing at Gov Ball earlier in the day!
I have the fortunate privilege of seeing the P twice in one day, so anyone from the P army going to either show Friday I'll be wearing a maroon PL70 hat, hope to meet some of you guys! Let the P bring the funk

this is the 4th year in a row that this has happened to us... missing a P show that we would otherwise have 100% hit only because it was announced too close to the date for us to make arrangements.
oh well. we'll hit one someday, or maybe i'll just book a private gig once i'm independently wealthy.

the truth!! whenever the day comes (which I hope is next fall when the P returns to NYC) the funky vibin will be more alive than ever!

Posts: 3,255Posted 10 years ago #The L.A. album release show that was supposed to be on October 10th will now be on Sunday, November 22nd... Not sure if it will still be considered the album release show or whether this will be the same day the album drops, but regardless... I'll be there. Already asked for the 23rd off from work so I can sleep all day on Monday.
Hope all the PUTS fam and friends will be there (Day, Rev Rhythm, Greg Nice, JazMak, Blewfoot, etc.). We'll see!I think I already mentioned it, but I'll also be at the rescheduled S.F. show on Black Friday (November 27th) too.
Let me know if you're going to either show! Usually, I hang out with the guys and try to help them out in some capacity (watching the merch when they're on stage, getting things from the green room, etc.), but Thes is always telling me to quit it and go enjoy myself, so we forum cats should meet up and drink a brew.

Posts: 51Posted 10 years ago #Yo! Its been over a year since I've last seen PUTS, and it would be kool to see them in SF given that I won't be returning back home with The P, L.A., during the holidays this year. 2 Issues though:
1) Transportation - I'm coming from Humboldt, and I don't have a car. Though I bet I can find a rideshare through word of mouth among fellow students/Craigslist or something
AND
2) A place to crash. Being a college student on a tight budget, don't know if I can afford them hotels, man. Perhaps I'll start getting back onto couchsurfing, sending requests out early or something...
I'm hoping that I can turn this notion into a reality, and meet & rock on with fellow P lovers via this forum.

The first one is up now: A Westward Coast
Thoughts?

i just posted about this on another thread SacTown!! I am stoked for "Vol. 2" and so far it's off to a fantastic start! I dig "A Westward Coast" not only cuz its another great track about California but Double K gives my city a shout out! "Out here in San Jose where they be callin me bro" and a fire beat as usual
