Rehearsal dinner: Gave my brothers (best men) engraved shot glasses and engraved crystal bottle stoppers & gave my uncle an engraved beer tankard and a $100 Apple store card (he just got an iPad). Then my dad whips out this HUGE cedar chest that he made by hand as a present for Eimi and I (I think it's out of mahogany & some kind of burl... he's a woodworker), and it's a thing of beauty. He even did hand-carving this time, which he never usually does. So yeah, nice pre-wedding gifts. The caterer was late, but it wasn't a big deal.
Wedding Ceremony/Reception: Went off without a hitch. About 55 people there, everyone liked the vows I wrote, Eimi's dress was off-the-hook lovely, the ceremony was brief and meaningful, the food was RIDICULOUSLY good (prime rib, y'all), and about five people asked me where I got the cake. The DJ mixed up some nice tunes, and even Eimi's 87-year-old grandma who only speaks Japanese was out dancing practically the whole time. Should seen her during "Shout" (Go Isleys!)... crazy. The photographer got some d*mn good pictures, and we even got to go down into the Firehouse's wine cellar for a quick photoshoot (they've gotten awards for having one of the best wine selections in the world, so that was a nice bonus).
I'd tell y'all about the wedding night, but I don't wanna make you sick.
The next morning, there was a gift opening/brunch at my parents' place, and we got a lot of nice sh*t. Silverware and place settings and gift cards and all that...
