I hadn't been on for a little while (life and things... got in a car accident that totaled my car, had to take care of some other business, etc.), and when I came back that happened to me when I went to post. Glad you got my PM, man! -

) ; just posted one before this that's not showing up. (I'll PM YoYoPo again about that one & this one, and hopefully, everyone'll get it!)Anyway, I spoke with Thes this week, and actually had a chance to help do a little Photoshop work on the TGOS2 album cover!
It was cool to be involved.We also spoke a bit about the album's content and other things. He put in an insane amount of work getting it to sound right, and he fought to make sure that the sound dynamics were clear and not subjected to all the "loudness war" BS. I think, at one point, Mike had to break down the studio door (figuratively) and tell him to just get it to mastering already, haha. That might mean that you'll need to turn that volume knob up a touch, but it'll still bump.
He ended up RIGHT up against the deadline though, so it sounds like everyone's getting the digital release on April 20, but we'll all have to wait a little while longer for the the vinyl and the 4 new AMV2 tracks. Sounds like it's been hectic, but I'm sure that the hard work'll speak through the quality of the music on TGOS2.
He also hinted that the second EP will have a bit of a theme to it. Both Chris and Mike went through some heavy things last year. I'm not sure how much they'd want out there, but the bottom line is that Thes & one of his family members had a little hospital time, and Double and his family (including Blewfoot) had a neighborhood incident. So the basic subject matter of the album is a little darker, but he assured me that there's plenty of good times, as usual. From everything Thes mentioned, it sounds like it'll be fire. Stay tuned, and if I hear anything else, I'll let you know.

Posts: 362Posted 10 years ago #I asked Thes that on IG along with a few other people but no feedback. Based on that and the detail from Sactown, I'd be pleasantly surprised if something was pressed up in time on CD. That said, I'd prefer to buy direct from them and Thes is known to surprise.
Anecdotally, they didn't do any merch at the last show in Santa Barbara a few months back. Since they have a bunch more dates now, maybe they'll have some stuff.

I looked when I woke up on some Web time zone thing and it suggested 5pm. Whether that accounts for gmt I don't know.
Should have worn the multi time zone G shock today.
At 5 I'll be at my daughters school! At 6 I'll be home so Id like 6 to be right!
