Damn... all that work. I don't think anyone had access to his email. Such a shame and huge loss.

Ah no! sh!t sh!t sh!t!!
I literally had a vision about 2 weeks ago that we had to back up his whole website before it got lost. I was even thinking earlier this week about the best way to do it. I just hadn't had time to do it yet!
Damn. One of the things me and SLC Head were saying when Pat passed was that we had to keep his lyrics site going.
I'm on it!!

I've been digging deep in various internet archives and caches to salvage what I can from the site. I think I've got all of the album, singles and interview pages now although some of the images for the album covers is missing (but they will be fairly easy to replace). The long bit is saving all the tracks pages - which Pat made an individual page for every released track. That's 345 pages!!! I have a few scripts I can run and shortcuts but it is coming down to finding each one individually. Some are in some archives but not in other etc. So far I have about 50% of the lyrics pages so maybe 2 more evenings and I should have most of them!!

Indeed....you rock sir! great work
De La Tribe sent me these photos last week from Pat's memorial service. I'm sure like me a lot of you remember Pat's excitement every time a new album dropped, investigating all the details, lyrics and in-jokes.
The P flower arrangement and booklets were the least we could do... Rest In Peace Pat a.k.a SactownConnection a.k.a Pmuny
Yeah RIP Pat......always missed & never forgotten on these boards. I am sure he’d have loved the new album, rock on my brother.
it'd be great if we could finish pat's work and get the new album lyrics transcribed

This is a good idea. We should all put our heads together and try to get them all worked out. Maybe the Po could post them in similar fashion? I'm down
Yes! My thought exactly. There's a few releases to catch up on too (Legend of the 40 Dogs etc )
Tackling my favourite tracks as best I can, here's Dream Sequence '88. A few words i'm not 100% on it which i've put in strikethrough. Maybe a google doc we can all edit and contribute to would be worth setting up?
Dream Sequence '88
It's the getting off stage
But we live for ever
Woke up last night had a drink and said whatever
I'm better than I ever been
I think i got my second wind
Feeding my dog
Steady working some odd jobs
Homesteading with the mob of Los Angeles
Channel this
Now sucka niggas they can't dismantle this
P legacy you and me may do eternity forever modernity earning a place in history
Aint girls in '77 with the tight jheri curl
Man homie where you from?
The place where you can't hang
Right [dang] through the plains incorporating that thing
Atomic
Bomb squad incarnated behind the board hit the switch
And change the pitch
Peace to the '99 now let's all get rich
Took a pass at Streetsweeper; a few items I'm unsure about, though.
[Scratches and steel drums].
The people - <I'm almost here>
The people - the people <I'm almost here>
The people - the people <I'm almost here>
<Woman?>
Double K:
Natural born chiller, the record store killer
Take a bite out of a rhyme, what i write is a crime-
Riminal; you feminine like Sandals, something that you heard in your ear; backward, baby
Going back in here, going back in years
Copestetic, we get the party real hectic
High steppin' dreadlock on the rude boi tip
Write a paragraph to take you on an acid trip my nigga
Now what's wrong with you? We dig through them crates and smoke that boo
Mister don't play in the backyard trippin', smokin' on the no-no, now who's sippin'
Pass a J to the jam master, give me doubles of rocksteady, I move faster
[Alternating scratches] Rock/steady (4X)
Thes One:
Steetsweeper, I breath deeper; don't make your brother's keeper turn into the grim reaper
It's El Nino, I play you like Keno in a Reno casino, the Latino dumpin' up out the El Camino
Like a <?> from Cali rapper finale my Halle Barry lookalike wife, emcees are living in strife and
I'm half Barbara Streisand and half Mike Tyson, rappers rolling the dice and they know they suck like a Dyson
Or suck like Kanye, but yo f*** whatever I say, I'm just a nobody that muddies waters on the back bay
Professional card puller and building up my case, I'm coming for you like <Bob Mueller?> straight to the face
With no chaser and a pint of Racer No. 5 when I arrive, alive and don't dance, I'm in my b-boy stance
I'm the last of the show rockers, did it like Run and D, don't need nobody Go Fundin' me, I'm f**king' free for everybody
[Alternating scratches] Rock/steady (7X)
[Vocal sample]
The Effects of Climate Change on Densely Populated Areas
[Fort Worth news clip intro]
Thes One:
Hundred degrees at midnight for the third day in a row
Nobody's sleeping well and I can feel the tension grow
In LA, with rolling brownouts, rolling papers, and rolling sixties
Heat exhaustion increasing caution across the city
Some people hit the mall, they tryin' to stay cool
Some people call the cops, there's black children in the pool
Everybody's lookin' sideways, road ragin' on the highways
I hate it, I'm trying to stay hydrated and faded
But my way is blocked by road construction like a scene from Falling Down
Cops, they tryin' to function but it seems they taking down
Us brown people at will, people get hot and they kill
As the sun begins to set, it's hot and no one can chill
Everybody's windows open, there's not a moment of silence
Alcohol, heat, and frustration increasing domestic violence
911 is overwhelmed, homie, guess you on your own
The hills are still on fire, recommend you stay home
We got a...
Chorus:
Heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
A heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
A heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
[Scratches]
A heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
[Scratches]
Double K:
Karma's a bitch, and so is LA
Crime always matters, but my rhyme pays
I'm drinking iced tea, might splash a little in it
Down the block, they said the little homie did it
I hope he didn't, 'cause it's hot out here
Seen the worst of the heat, yet I have no fear
We blastin' PE in front of the enemy
From the days of Tom Bradley, ya'll consider me
The owner of <?>, known for bad activity
'Cause people they be pissin' me and I'm off the stage
Pull out the Steely Dan, make your leg a peg
Now I'm just joking, choking on the smoke and provoking
Good vibes, good rhymes and such
Put on your visor with a tint of green in it
Yo it's hot b, no it's hot g, yo it's hot b
And we watch the record spin...
Chorus:
Heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
A heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
It's like a heat wave, burn us like a heat wave
Heat wave
[Southland/The Grove power outage news clip outro]
Double K impression:
"I mean I don't know what's going on here, I mean I paid the bill. I don't know why it's not working. Try it again."
Samples:
"Alright, go!"
Instrumental break
"Testing: 1, 2, 3"
"Alright, yeah."

I’m here for a good time, but not for a long time, a beer and a couple rhymes, my favorite past time.
I’m here for a good time, but not for a long time, a beer and a couple rhymes, my favorite past time.
I’m here for a good time, but not for a long time, a meal and a glass a wine, my favorite past time.
End Sample:
The only reason two men can really call theyselves friends or partners or homies, can’t start with lies,

Double K:

Double K & Thes One:

Thes One:
