Just dug Dizzee Rascals album; boy in da corner, out. Not heard this for years, still sounds good to me! Pity bout the current stuff hes releasing tho...
Enjoy
oneirology and nostalgia 77's new album Sleepwalking Society. great stuff.
I'm working overtime right now (wokring away your saturday is a drag...), and my iPod (on album shuffle) decided to kick out Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde for me.
I have this theory I want to postulate: Bizarre Ride NEVER gets old... I mean, granted, some of it sounds dated, but I don't think there has EVER been a time when it's come on when I ever DIDN'T wanna listen to it. Has this album gotten old for any of you?
UPDATE: Man, it's been a classics morning. After Bizarre Ride finished, it was Mecca & The Soul Brother, and then To Whom It May Concern...
It's a good day...
I had Bizarre Ride II on the turntables this morning.
I dont think it does get old.
Although to me its still a pretty new album. Although its coming up 20 years old next year
I don't think there has EVER been a time when it's come on when I ever DIDN'T wanna listen to it.
Hmm, I think that's probably true for me too.
Then on the way to work I had 'The Next Step' on, 'Wannabes' and 'TTROS'!
"Yo Thes can you rock the Mic?"
Been playing Bonobo- Black Sands, repeatedly for like 7 days now! LOVE it!
SeanOne (of First Words) was over last night, and played me this new track they just finished with Jorun Bombay...
i f***ing love the various countdowns, all taken from different brazilian records from their huge stash.
their new album is in the works, but taking a while.
the best in eastcoast canadian hiphop!
First Words w/Jorun Bombay- The Countdown
SeanOne is putting the finishing touches on a new beattape too, sounds super dope.
i'll post a link for it once it drops.
WTF? are you cats not digging this?
ok, how about this track by Jorun and Ghettosocks?
damb, no love for the east-northeast.
(Frank Zappa cover) Willie The Pimp - DMC,Talib Kweli, Mix Master Mike and Ahmet Zappa
Anyone heard this cat before?
Take a minute to listen to the beat on this, The Deed...
The best US dollar I've spent this year!
It bangs like a shitehouse door in a gale as we say oop north.
woah, dope! Arablak got an album out?
I'm listening to PUTS album #8 right now...
Here's how I got it:
I sneezed really hard and dislodged myself from the space-time continuum, and wound up in 2061 temporarily. While I was there, I picked up all the PUTS's future material, and all of it is beyond dope.
You can guess that a lot of the joints are just classic cuts ("Step Thru", "Letter To Luther V.", "The LA Saga", and the DJ Day remix of "Fishbucket 4") and their 10th album is... uh, will be... this crazy live double album with guest appearances by Willie D, Melle Mel, the New Spinal Tap (featuring Bootsy Collins & Headnodic), Phife Dawg, Thes One's kids, and James Brown's ghost (necromancy is all over the place in the future).
They headlined... uh, will headline... Bonnaroo in 2036, and handed out 2,000 copies of American Men Vol 2 to the front rows (I had to blast this fool with my phaser on a heavy stun setting to get my hands on a copy). They also stormed the Grammys at one point and finally got most of the music industry to stage a walkout of that bullsh*t (I think Justin Bieber got trampled and stomped out). They are actually considered heroes and there is a huge statue of PUTS in Crescent Heights now.
You guys can keep this a secret, right? 'Cause I don't want Thes and Double to find out. It might disrupt the normal flow of events, and if they change their release schedule, it could mean a world disaster. Obama is supposed to be listening to "80 Blocks From Silverlake" at just the right moment two or three years from now, and if he doesn't, he never comes up with the ideas that will help us avoid World War III.

So can anyone else tell that my job gets boring sometimes? (I'm actually listening to Ol' Dirty Bastard at the moment...
)
You fool, Sactown you foolish fool!
You could have disrupted the space time continuim with that post!
Luckily most of us are pretty proficient in time travel so we should be able to sort any time rifts out pretty easy.
Are Thes and Double the real life Bill and Ted?!!
No waaaaaay dude!!!
