Just ordered the new Tribe documentary on Blu-ray. Should reach me in a week or so. Looking forward to it... I heard it's mostly about band interactions and not as much about the music, but I still think it'll be fresh... anyone seen it yet?

Can't wait to see it, heard loads about it and thought to start with tribe weren't to happy with it but it now seems they are on board. This should b v interesting.

When I was reading the reviews and notes, I think I heard that Phife, Jarobi, and Shaheed are down with it and went to the "red carpet" premiere, but Tip was sorta standoffish about it and has been shunning it. Sorta weak... Kinda reminds me of the whole Pink Floyd/Roger Waters situation...MrQc said:

As a group they influenced so much in hip hop even today and even though there last 2 albums weren't the best i think they would all want to celebrate there legacy. As much as i woudl love to hear about i am worried that a new album would just not stand up today. So i just think it shows how good the P are when they can delivered 8 good to great albums and grow throughout them. Tribe will always be up there in the world of Hip Hop and i hope to see the doc v soon.

Overall it's great but it does seem like it could've delved a lot deeper into the music, the group's history etc. I think the whole issue about the situation between Tip and Phife has been overexposed a bit - it's kinda like watching people you care about fighting or reopening old wounds if you will... -

But I'm still interested in seeing the backstory.

Just got the Mighty Under Dogs CD from 2008 and my love for all things Headnodic just keeps growing (in a appreciate his skills way

I know this probably sounds really simple-minded, but I wonder what a Radiohead/Portishead collaboration would sound like... they could just call themselves 'Heads... or maybe they could call the collaboration "Better Than One" (as in "Two 'heads' are...")... that would probably be trippier than most could handle.Frantiq said:
