I cannot believe how good this CD is .. so glad i bought it.
I was new to most gang starr songs when Guru passed and did not realize how much of an amazing lyricist we lost.. hip hop lost a damn great one. Nothing you all dont know but I just cant get over how clever he is, his word play, his messages.. all just amazing.

Not the most gentle way to wake up, but it did the trick, and now I'm fiending to cop the album. Sounds like the most focused thing he's done so far. Can't believe there isn't more edgy stuff like this about given the state of the world today. -

Posts: 1,659Posted 13 years ago #So, been listening to some Bill Withers recently and enjoying all his soulful funkiness (Harlem is a absolutely outstanding track) and discussing with my dad about how they "don't make music like this anymore" when he told me to give aloe blacc a try, so i borrowed his 2010 album "good things" and gave it a listen... and you know what, it was pretty damn good! I know its a bit old, but its good to see some quality music (IMHO) making the crossover to the mainstream. What y'all think?
