Hello all,

This is Eimi, Pat's wife. I'm writing on this forum today because of all of Pat's PUTS merchandise that I currently have in my possession. I thought a lot about what was best to do with everything, and I think Pat would have loved all of you to have it. I'm wondering if there's anyone who wants to come pick it up in the East Bay (California) where I live and work on divvying it up. I'm currently going through a lot of big life changes and won't have the time to do it myself (or else I would). There's also so much that I won't be able to ship the whole think in bulk.

I really don't want the merchandise to be sold. Pat always believed in giving to others, especially other PUTS fans, and I want that to live on.

I recently relocated to the Seaside/Monterey area and can pick up the items and work on distributing them among the forum members and/or Thes One. I'll shoot you a PM so we can work out a date and time.

Thanks for stopping by and your message - that's a very thoughtful gesture in Pat's memory/honor. I think folks here would take good care of and enjoy sharing Pat's collection for years to come given our collective appreciation for the group and connection to Pat.

I'm in San Francisco and would be happy to make the trek up, too. Eso, you know Pat had too much for one man to carry!

What a lovely gesture that is, as I am sure you are aware there is a lot of love on the forum for Pat & there always will be. He really was & will continued to be the heart & soul of this place. Sounds like there is a plan in place & being in the UK I can't help sadly. I'm sure his treasured collection will go to fans (or even back to Thes) and be cherished in his memory.

Wow Eimi, thank you for send us a message! We all still remember Pat and the great energy he spread.

Someone was luckily able to archive Pat's lyrics website before it went offline and I am planning to get it online again very shortly. Unfortunately it looks like someone has bought the old domain name (thepointoftherhyme.com) so I will host it on here for now.

Esomedina is a top standing trustworthy citizen and I wholeheartedly recommend him for chief collector and distributor! Perhaps people could donate to a charity of your choice on receiving some of Pat's memorabilia?

I think that's a great idea. Ive not been round these parts for a while, but on the day I do there's this post. Pat calling perhaps. I was thinking that an auction with proceeds going to a charity would be an idea, but, I'm sure Pat would have wanted to see stuff going to people who'd deeply appreciate it (and be reminded of Pat) rather than resell purely for profit. Yoyopo's idea is a good one!

I don't mind the drive since we're doing this for Sactown. Plus it gives the family and I a chance to do some exploring parts of SF we have not seen yet. I'd like to catalog everything and make sure it lives on through us. I have a few ideas on how we can accomplish that.

Ok, cool. If there's too much to take by yourself I can help out, just let me know. I can give you some cool spots to check out while you're up here too.

Also Eimi: If Pat had any other vinyl or music related stuff that hasn't been given away already we could distribute that too. Not trying to pressure you or anything, but I know Pat had a wide variety of musical tastes as do most of us on here. I'd be happy to take on that project (and definitely wouldn't sell anything).

Hello all,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I actually originally was going to do a charity auction with these items but I haven't had (and probably won't have time for awhile) to set that up. But if people would like to donate for the merch items, that would be amazing. Although it's not a non-profit charity, PUTS has a "donate" page on their website so they would be able to have more free contents and be able to help up and coming artists. I know Pat would have LOVED to see more from PUTS so I feel like donating to that fund would be a great option. A donation to a non-profit of your choice is always great too!

I think a charity auction is a great idea. I'd be happy to bid on items for a good cause like this (and the format would keep it transparent for people interested).

Similarly, a donation to PUTS with the proceeds would be awesome way to connect honoring Pat, the forum, and supporting the group.

I think Eso was thinking along these lines, too - but we should do a proper catalog of the many merch items the group had as a lookback/archival and maybe even host them here?

I know Pat's site did some of this organization, too.

The more I think about it, I think distributing the merch for the price of shipping it is probably the way to go instead of a charity auction. I know some people probably wouldn't have the money to outbid others, and I think Pat would have liked to share the merch with as many people as possible.

To all those interested, I picked up the items and had a chance to go through it all. Some amazing stuff in there and I feel guilty poking around some of the memories that are of a more personal nature. I'll try and get in contact with Thes, Yoyopo and Eimi to discuss the best way to honor Pat's dedication to The P. My plan is to catalog everything and take photos over the next week or so.

I want to make it perfectly clear that I have no intention of keeping all these items for myself. I'm just a steward and will make sure we handle the memorabilia in the manner that is agreed upon.

Sounds like your doing good work and it must be pretty hard seeing all of Pats stuff like this. As you say I think the best option is to speak with Thes, Yoyo and Eimi to work out the best way to honour Pat.

I'm sure no one on the forum was thinking that you'd be keeping the items for yourself. It would be good to know that any of these items are passed to fans who will honour and cherish them and if we can make any type of donations for them then that's got to be the best way to go.

As I am in the UK it'll be difficult for me to help but if there is anything I can do please DM me or get in touch over Instagram etc.

I'm sure whatever is decided will be the right thing to do.
