   I woke up heartbroken. Discovered PUTS from a random YouTube hole I fell into, and they’ve become my favorite group without a doubt. I lost my Mom earlier in the year from cancer right as COVID hit, and it was Thes & Double K’s music which helped me get through it. If there’s any plans for a memorial fund for his family or anything, please let me know. Fly high LA Mike.

    Its true yall .... my man Double K aka Mike Turner passed yesterday morning. This aint no joke ..... theres a tribute on Hiphopphilosophyradio.com .... this is hard and still unbelievable... thats my man and the fam is hurting....

    Very sad this news to wake up to this morning. Thes reached out and we spoke briefly, needless to say he needs some space to process and grieve.

    Don't know any details other than he went peacefully in his sleep. Sending thoughts and prayers to his family, especially wife, siblings and mother.

    Michael Turner 1977 - 2021 Rest in the Funk big brother KK. Was a blessing to meet you the few times I did and trade a few laughs and beers. Thank you for all the FUNK over the years and constant inspiration.
