Happy Vinyl Record Day everyone!
August 12th, the date Edison invented the phonograph in 1877
I just heard on the Radio that today is 'Vinyl Record Day'!
Although Google chooses to put an image up of the 71st Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz...
And a friend has informed me that... IMDB.com says "Release Date:25 August 1939" for the Wizard of Oz.

Although Thomas Edison was a pr!ck, he stole loads of ideas off Nikola Tesla
who was arguably the greatest post industrial inventor ever...
If he had invented vinyl it would have been all lazers and nekkid laydeez and other cool shiz! YEAH!

WELL NOW! Im gonna buy me first bit of vinyl today then, i aint got vinyl player yet but theres time, im bidding on youth explosion 12" for 99p and a white label promo of tuxedo rap with nothing at all on the B side, thats 99p aswell, im gutted i missed the Dr. Oop tho, i got in touch with the seller n hopfully he will sell it to me or at least put it back up for auction.
Im debating wether to get DJ decks or just a player tho? ive tried DJing b4 and 2bh i didnt really get into it, i wud rather be up dancing than twiddlin nobs.... well c.

Dude, get some sh!tty turntables and a beat up mixer. You'll be able to get em real cheap. You don't need Technics 1210 mk IVs to start off with. In fact I think it's better to learn on terrible turn tables, like learning to drive in a manual car before getting an automatic.

I'm reading 1984 at the moment and the powers that be "Big Brother" rewrite history to make them look right and like they invented aeroplanes etc... but this probably isnt too far from the truth!

I gave that Wiki article a quick read it said Tesla was considered a "mad Scientist"... so maybe that looked bad and Edison would have been a better role model or more investable?!

I won the auctions for youth explosion and tuxedo rap (99p each, :-D) i should hopfully be getting dr oop when my paypals sorted, trying to be confirmed is such a pain so yeah, my 1st 3 vinyls are PUTS related. yay.
Ive looked on e-bay and i could get sum beat up decks n mixer or a USB turntable thing for around £70ish, im gonna have to hold buying anything ATM till i get back from amsterdam otherwise i will b broke tho. I would like to get sum DJ Decks tho, even so i can just fade in and out of records to begin with (beatmatching is not my strong point, lol) and build up from there, i like the flow of playing a "mix" as opposed to 1 record then silence then another record.
1984 is the scariest book ive ever read, seriously made me question those around us in power and how easy the masses (myself included) can be minipulated. lol.

Yeah I was never great at the old beat match either, but I was pretty decent at cutting the records up, and scratching and dropping sh!t so it sounded nice... beatmatching isn't neccessary I don't think...

Fri 27th, Bank Holiday weekend.
I aint smoked since 1st august either, aiming to have my 1st doob in a month in amsterdam. should be fun, especially if its nice, hit up vondlepark and chill in the sum.
When i tried DJing last time, i was playing happy hardcore, hard dance and trance so beatmatching was a bit more important, couldnt drop trance straight after hard dance without some beatmatching, im gonna go for a more laidback vibe this time, hip hop, breaks, dubstep, liquid DnB and old skool jungle, oooh and a bit of Ska aswell. lol.

Yeah man, i cant explain it but for the 1st time in my life i wanna be healthy n look after myself, (if you met me youde see how big a deal that is, lol) i can feel myself changing, hopfully for the better, i cut down on the weed coz im eating too much sh!t food, im trying to go walking more, ive lost 7lbs in 3 weeks jus changing some simple things and im enjoying life more, must be my old age. LMAO!
yeah, we could have a battle on the go, forum battle, UK vs Rest Of The World (were an island, we always gotta feel threatened, lol)
