   The draw is Thursday 5:00pm UK time, 11:00am Chicago time (correct me if I'm wrong). We have:

   Pot One
   Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Barcelona, Inter, AC Milan, Lyon, Bayern

   Pot Two
   Werder Bremen, Real Madrid, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, Benfica, Valencia, Marseille, Panathinaikos

   Pot Three
   Tottenham, Rangers, Ajax, Schalke, Basel, Sporting Braga, Kobnhavn, Spartak Moscow

   Pot Four
   Hapoel Tel Aviv, Twente Enschede, Rubin Kazan, CFR Cluj, Partizan Belgrade, Bursaspor, MSK Zilina, Auxerre

   Thoughts? Predictions? I'm hoping Arsenal does not draw Real Madrid, Ajax or Schalke. What can a new fan expect from this type of play?

   A group is made up of one team drawn from each pot.
   Each team in the group play each other at home and away.
   Top two go through to the knock out stages.

   Any other Rangers fans up in here...I'm waiting with my passport and credit card in hand to book a little european trip!
   I'm GUTTED Ajax are in the same pot as us! Losing two nights in the dam is good fun...

   As a Spurs fan I'm really happy to get into the group stages, Amsterdam would have been cool to visit again but I'm hoping we get Bayern Munich as I live in Munich... and hopefully during Okoberfest!

   Vladmir Weiss is a good loaning for you Gers headz, you can see how to play the game properly

   Although those pots look good for the English teams (bar Spurs) once they are thru the group stages they will no doubt meet Barcelona, Inter, AC Milan, Lyon or Bayern!

   But if you want to win the Champions Legue you have to beat the best.

   My gooner mate is dreading meeting Spurs in the Quater Finals or at any stage.

   Anyway as a City fan I have no place here... until next season

   As a knowledgeable football fan, you have every right! lol. Besides, if there was a "trade" rule, I'd swap out City for the "Don't Be Totty For The Party" team of Sp*rs. Probably more competitive that way.

   As much as I want to agree with that, I was (behind gritted teeth) impressed with Spurs last night.
   I said to my mate that it could be pretty good for the Champions League, I dont think Spurs will fear anyone and will hopefully bring something fresh to it.
   Could maybe knock out some good teams and pave the way for Arsenal to win!!

   Also the longer they stay in that comp the more their Premier League form should dip hehe.

   I'd like to see how defenses deal with Crouch, I bet he gets penalised about 80% of the time by refs which is bs.
   Although he is a dread grabber haha.
