I am part of the Zion I street team and this thurs they are performing at my college!!! and the best part is, they are going to Dimple records at 6 for a meet n greet and what not, and I GET TO HELP SET UP AND WHAT NOT :D im calling their manager today to discuss the details.. i also get to help out at the concert too! and i get in for free:D Ahh my dream of meeting them is coming true!
I was beating myself in the head for missing their concert 3 years ago at school. You guys do not understand how excited I am...
Man if only I could help out with the P concert too! that would be the ultimate dream..
man im so excited.. No mainstream success (besides bone thugs) could ever match the feeling I have to meeting these amazing underground artists who have actually affected my life in some way :)

Posts: 818Posted 15 years ago #oh man!!! the Zion I concert was amazing!! they rocked sac state so hard! they were enthusiastic, energetic, interacted with the crowd, Amplive got on the MPC and started free styling, they played an array of songs (wish they would of played some from Mind over Matter though) and had an AMAZING back up singer, this guy named Courtney Holiday.
I was helping promote so i was all over the place, but man they were passing blunts around and i got to hit it a few times right before Zion I came on!
After the show I got to meet them, had Amplive Zumbi and HOliday sign my Atomic Clock CD.. I got to take pics with them..
ahh I am so excited!! :D I did get videos of ALOT of the performance, like a minute of almost each song, but i did record ALL of "antenna" because that performance was just amazing.. so ill try to upload soon!
OH and the great thing was, there was someone walking around promoting for the Grouch and Eligh concert AND PUTS!!! i was like, im already going! yay :)
good times for sure.

Also, IDK how i have not heard "Jamboree Pt 2" before?? I know I have definitely heard of both and heard Pt 1 but i guess i didn't listen to the second one X( such an AMAZING beat, probably one of my new fav P songs.. hella chill

Im in a pretty damn fine mood! Missing summer and the weathers a bit miserable but could be worse, look at them floods in australia! I feel lucky living in the UK, for all its faults politically at least we dont have to deal with nature aswell. We get some snow that messes up the roads for a week and flooding which destroys peoples lives but at least it dont kill!
So anyways, life is good! University is getting really intresting, love the subjects ive picked (sociology/criminology), im feeling fitter and healthier than i have in a LONG time. Lost over 2 stone (34lbs so far) still a long way to go and its been a difficult process with ups and downs but im getting there, just enjoying walking and listening to PUTS! Im fortunate enough to be able to start putting money away so i can go backpacking and see some of the world when i finish my degree, just need a job and ill be sorted. fingers crossed!
Im pretty happy, hope everone else out there is doing well and has got off to a good start in 2011!
