Arsenal have lost to 2 of the 3 promoted teams this year. How does that happen? Granted both of those teams are playing spirited and exciting football, but come on...Then again, regardless of my fan affiliation, this has been an exciting first year of the EPL for me. Arsenal's main problem is that no one wants to take the shot once they get near the box. Too busy still playing foreplay when they should ram that stuff home lol

Lol so so true Eso.
Someone needs to just take a shot!
If you dont shoot you dont score.I think these newly promoted teams want the points more than the "bigger" teams.
But we saw at the World Cup that a team who maybe doesnt have a lot of good players can make a very good team and make it difficult for better more attacking teams.
Take New Zealand for example... at the World Cup they had 1 professional player Ryan Nelsen but they didnt lose a game and even held the former Champions Italy to a draw (Italy were pretty shocking tho!) But with good management, discipline and organisation a team can become greater than the sum of its parts.Eso did you hear the stories about Arsene umm how shall I say "playing away"?

Yo Eso what goes black and white, black and white, black and white and gets 3 points?

Yeah Newcastle have a good team, they seem to play for the manager and each other.
They're up to 5th now!
Newcastle played well but Arsenal were under par.City finally got back to winning ways and right in time for the derby against Man Utd on Wednesday.
I'm a little nervous but looking forward to the game. Will Balotelli be eligible for the Man Utd game or does his red card mean he's banned?

Well he got a straight red, despite only minutes before receiving a yellow card.
And a straight red is a three match ban in the Premier League but 2 yellows getting you a red is a 1 match ban.He wont be available for the derby game which is a shame.
And I've just seen on the Interwebz...
Just to clarify, Manchester City are appealling the length of Balotelli's suspension (3 games), not the red card itself.
Which makes more sense.
I just downloaded the Premier League Rules... I was going to have a quick sqwizz but its 174 pages long!!!
I saw Martin Petrov got a goal against Spurs
____________________Oh and one other thing on the Arsenal game, Newcastles goalkeeper Krul was outstanding making some impressive saves, probably the man of the match.

I remember we tried to get Petrov not long after we signed Berbatov. Haven't seen his goal or the one from Pavlyuchenko (which was meant to be class) either.

The Petrov one was a standard goal really, just nice to see him scoring.
Yeah I remember that rumour I thought it might go through because Spurs were getting a collection of Bulgarian players and a few Croaitions too.
He's got a sweet left foot... it brought me flowers last month LOL
I remember seeing the Milkybar kids goal it looked good, I only caught it on Match of the Day 2... they had Alan Hansen, Andy Cole and Lee Dixon on there, always good banter!

I saw a little blurb on him messing around with some woman. Don't care too much to research it. As for red cards, Koscielny got one at the end of the game. He's out for 3 games as well? Weakens our already weak back 4.

Yeah Koscienly will have a 3 match ban.
Thats his 2nd straight red card this season isnt it?
He got one in his first game?I didnt read anything about the Wenger story (no interest) but my gooner mate mentioned it before the Arsenal Kick Off.
You can always play Eboue in the back four
Oooh look Eboue with Arsenals carling cup team...

L to R: Koscielny, Wilshire, Eboue, Chamakh, Arshavin, Bendtner and Rosicky
Peace.

WTF?!!!
Arsenal's Laurent Koscielny must serve a two-match ban after the Football Association dismissed an appeal against the red card given against Newcastle.
The centre-back, 25, was sent off late on for holding back Magpies striker Nile Ranger in Sunday's 1-0 defeat.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger felt it was "not only harsh, but not right".
But the club's appeal was rejected on Tuesday, and he must serve a two-match ban as it was his second dismissal of the season.
Koscielny's challenge on Ranger took place about 35 yards out near the touchline on Arsenal's left and Wenger believed fellow central defender Sebastien Squillaci was in a position to cover.
Frenchman Koscielny, who is of Polish descent, signed from Lorient in the summer, was also sent off at Liverpool on his Arsenal debut.
How come its only a 2 match ban?!!
It must be something to do with the reason for the cards.
Like being the last man and bringing a player down who is in a goal scoring opportunity, where as Balotelli's was for dangerous play or something like that?! -

Love how they mention "Frenchman Koscielny, who is of polish decent!" like it has anything to do with it whatsoever... damn polish decendents, DOOK R JUUUUBS!!

Wenger used The Force to limit the ban to 2 games.
