Posts: 1,659Posted 15 years ago #okay... so i cracked the N64 out last night coz i needed to chill 4 an hour with my mate, so i did each track once and wrote my best lap time down, these were all done in 150cc "championship" mode and i probs could of done better, being a tad rusty, doing it in time trial, 1 player etc, but some of these are pretty good if you ask me. (nothing on world records but personally im happy) so from the top...

2:03:00 (rainbow road)post up and compare guys... lets see who beat me (and who hasnt) also, doing some reasearch, there appears to be a difference between NTSC and PAL times (america and europe) so i dont know how we can solve that, but post up anyways, this websites pretty cool for comparing times to others...

I will get on the N64 this week/weekend and try to beat at least one of your times... if I can!
So just write down our best lap time from the 3 laps while racing the "others" in the Cups yeah?

Also how do you know if you have had the memory expanded on your N64 is the expanded memory RED and the standard one BLACK?!

Im sure the expanded memory was red, unless you bought the special pikachu (pokemon) edition where im sure it was built in? i could be wrong tho.
From what i can gather, time trials are going to give slower times (no 150cc) so if you want to do it in time trial mode go for it, we were literally jus rushing thru in the 150cc championship mode, when i got some more time ill go back and give better times (altho my wario stadium time is only 4 seconds off "God Pace" according to that site, nearly 20 seconds of world record tho. lol.)
Also, keep to legitimate ways and routes, no glitches or Super shortcuts (4 seconds for wario stadium is impossible, lol)

So I cant do the jump on Koopa Beach and come out at the waterfall or miss the bit by the jump entirely and cross the water where the crabs are?!

Posts: 1,659Posted 15 years ago #nono, legitimate shorcuts are fine! just the ones like crash into the 6th brick before the tunnel on luigi raceway so you miss the track ones aint!
Im usually yoshi or DK, i sometimes prefer the bigger guys, even tho they aint as fast i find them easier to control??? who knows. And no, im never peach... i goddam hate her with every bone. she ALWAYS seems to get a mahooosive lead for no apparant reason. Grrrrrrrrr!

But are at risk of being squashed by the bigger boys.And the bigger boys have better control and are stronger if you get me.

our fave is what i guess you would call a 'local variant' of Farkle...
which is a dice game with 6 dice. ever play it?
i could post the rules up here if y'all want. it's wicked fun, and all ya need is 6 dice. very portable.
and pretty gangsta too. ha.we like to play dominoes, crib and backgammon alot too.
i am a chess nut, but my lady hates it.
she doesn't like Risk either. oh well..
(this is probably because i always kick her ass at both.)in our living room we have what we call 'games mountain' which is a pile of around 40 different board games.
our friends say we have an unhealthy amount of them,
but we don't (and never will) own a TV, so we play games instead.
i think that's plenty healthy.i realized at a young age that i have the potential for an unhealthy addiction to video games, and that girls hate them,
so i chose 'girls' and try to avoid the video games if possible.i'll work out the rules to that dice game for y'all.
you'll thank me later.
