Also ordered this with the DVD from hhv but have yet to recieve it. Would be willing to help out if anyone still needs this as I'm going to place another order there shortly anyway (must! satisfy! vinyl! addiction!)...GripFast probably has a point with direct overseas shipping costs through hhv (they use UPS too = pricey). Shouldn't really be that expensive otherwise - I've had stuff mailed from the states, Japan etc. plenty of times.

In the comments section for my order (I got Om Years again, so I could put one in the car), I put something along the lines of "I'm only ordering this because I really want that ltd ed 7-inch vinyl. You owe me, OM, for not giving me the signed poster with my Carried Away Deluxe Package!!"
I was amazed it came so quickly, ha.

Posts: 3,255Posted 15 years ago #I have Cubase 5 right now, and my computer has RCA hookups up front (a Creative Fatal1ty Audigy Sound Blaster X-Fi sound panel, or some crazy thing like that), so I plug in, hit record on my computer, and then I post-process it. I'm ridiculously bad at post processing. If it's a record, I run some background noise subtraction on it (and some de-essing if it sounds sibilant). Then, usually, I just normalize the wave form (make it nice and loud), and then do some really mild dynamics/soft-clipping work of the higher peaks so I can normalize it even louder. I wish I knew how to do all that better than I do know.
Might go to some Sac City College audio recording classes or something once I'm out of the debt-hole I'm in :-p

Posts: 163Posted 15 years ago #It sure seems weird to me that OM doesn't include the freebies w/ their purchases. Are they or are they not the official record label. Seems they'd want people to buy from them direct. Who know. I ordered my copy of the DVD from OM. No single enclosed.
