Here's how I see it. Barca have all the bargaining chips which is why they keep lowballing offers. Shrewd business but very disrespectful towards Arsenal FC and its fans. I've simply come to the point that I want the saga to end one way or another. I'll definitely miss him in a Gunners shirt and it hurts to lose such a world class player but we'll move on. Can't have players in the squad that don't want to be there.
As for Nasri, I grew to really like him last season. But now, my opinion of him is to f*** off lol. He wants to hold a club for ransom over half a season of stellar play only to disappear in the second half in the third year of a so far ho hum career with Arsenal? But I guess the allure of potentially 185k/week is too much to turn away from. Losing Cesc hurts more than losing Nasri.

I think the way Barca have gone about this deal is wrong, if any other club kept on at a transfer target for like 3 years people would have said its got to stop.
Fabs doesn't even get into the Spain starting XI, so how many games will he actually play for Barca?
Where as at Arsenal he's the first name down on the team sheet and the club and team captain!
He's only 23/24 why go to Barca now and spend your best years (and he is one of the best in the world) sitting on a bench!Last season Arsenal beat Barca.
As for Nasri who seems to be disillusioned with Arsenal and prehaps Arsene's transfer policy (or lack off) you could get at least £20 Mil for him now of lose him for free on a Bosman at the end of the season and have him play so-so for you because his hearts not in it for the rest of the season.
He could just be motivated by money... but lets say you work for Coke Cola and Pepsi offer you the same job but a higher wage, would you stay at Coke Cola?!
I personally think these players have been at Arsenal and not seen enough quality players come in to help them win trophies. On paper Arsenal have great players but they get injured and Arsene hasn't got enough players to cover the injuries.
He probably thinks he could sign some more players for cover but then he'll be paying them for half the work... but surely he has seen time and time again that its not working and Arsenal need cover!I think we'd all like to see him suceed without having to spend millions and millions but there must come a time where he has to say ok, lets buy some players with experience and not another Walcott... ooooh
Its not like Arsenal haven't got any moeny... they are one of the only clubs in the world turning a profit I believe.
And they still have more money to come in from the Highbury housing project plus maybe £55 - 60 Mil for the potential sale of Fabs and Nasri!19 days until the transfer window closes.

Song should never have stamped Barton's leg. He deserves whatever punishment the FA or whoever decides these things will hand down. No place for that. None. I've grown tired of Song's immaturity and lackluster play that tends to hurt the club. I mean, look at his facking hair style. Red faux hawk? C'mon son.
Now for Gervinho. He did not dive. He was clipped. He did not appeal to the ref for a penalty. He laid on the ground for a few seconds before getting up. As he was in the process of getting up he gets some assistance from Barton. The flow of the game was already moving away from Gervinho as Newcastle was mounting their own attack now. Barton was not involved in the play. He had no place to go and put hands on Gervinho. None. Once Gervinho gets to his feet a huddle now surrounds the two of them. Gervinho, probably tired of having his shirt pulled on, getting cussed at for doing something he didn't do, and generally being pissed off lays a slap on Barton. Not some pimp slap. Not a forceful slap. More like a lovetap. Barton goes down like a child having a fit.
Now to be clear, Gervinho deserves his red card. Can't slap someone or punch someone. My shock comes at the Yellow Card for Barton, who provoked the whole incident. If Barton accused Gervinho of diving then what the hell do you call what Barton did after getting tapped?
I find it funny how Arsenal players are supposed to take the high road when they are outright provoked by Newcastle/Barton. Arsenal players have a lack of discipline when they are the ones provoked. Last year with Diaby getting his leg damn near snapped. Supposed to take it? Last year with Szczesny getting headlocked. Supposed to take it? Song getting tackled from behind. Supposed to take it? Gervinho getting manhandled for getting clipped? Supposed to take it? But, I guess that's how the English game goes. Remain a gentleman at all times even if your foe acts ungentlemanly. Appalling.
If you follow me on Twitter, you may have read some of my tirade directed at Barton. I got a bit emotional lol
So to sum up my views. Song deserved to get a Red Card and deserves any subsequent ban. Gervinho deserves the Red Card but if possible, his suspension should be appealed to a lesser number since he was out and out provoked. Barton deserved a Red Card and deserves a subsequent ban for provoking Gervinho. Do you see it another way?

I think the ref did a good job in that game.I don't know if Barton should have been sent off... Barton grabbing Gervinho and pulling him up... probably not deserving of a red card but very aggressive, very unsporting, pretty unprofessional... who is he to dictate the rules to others?
I dont know if the ref could technically send him off... I know that sounds stoopid but you have to break certain rules to be sent off. Its a difficult one but I can see why the ref wouldn't send him off and I can see why a ref might send him off.Red Card - Showing a red card to a player means he/she is expelled from the match. A straight red card (no previous ‘caution’) can be shown for extreme offences such as serious foul play, violent conduct, spitting, deliberate hand-ball to prevent a goal, a professional foul (denying a goalscoring opportunity) and insulting language and/or gestures.
Maybe he could have been sent off for violent conduct but I dont think it was that bad (sorry dude!).
Maybe the ref could have pointed to where Barton grabbed Gervinho and booked him for picking him up and then booked him again for the tussle... but I dont know if he did enough in the tussle... could have booked him for shirt pulling and diving tho haha.
Maybe the FA needs to look into punishments for grabbing a player and manhandling him.
Refs dont want to have to send anyone off, but if you strike anyone throat upwards that is an instant red card and that is the letter off the law. Players like Barton will try to wind players up especially if they're new to the League.

Exciting times ahead.Funny you ask Eso because while watching the game I was thinking who I wanted to get on the new home and away shirt.
I was thinking Silva or Zabaleta and I kind of fancied the away shirt with Balotelli on.
Then Aguero came on!!I'm not planning to get a shirt until September because I want to watch a few games before I decide on a player.
But last night I was thinking... should I get an Aguero shirt tomorrow?! lol.
Looks like a name out of street fighter or something!I'm definitly swaying towards Aguero on the home shirt with Premiership patches
and maybe Zabaleta on the away shirt with Champions League patches?I think I'll save Silva until next season and get the gold Premiership patches LOL.

Sadly Chelsea failed in there tricky opener against Stoke....rough game and our wide men (Kalou and Malouda) looked so off the pace it was stupid....i know we have been successful but i think it's time we injected some young blood into the team and a bit of pace would be nice as well....at least Torres looked like he was getting sharper!!! I still haven't plunked down the cash to get a shirt. Kids eat up all my money right now. I'm not a big fan of the 2011/12 kits. It's looking like I'll wait until 2012/13 season to get one. Last season if I didn't get my own name I was going to get a Fabregas or Nasri kit. Good thing I didn't, huh? This season if I do come into some extra cash, I'd get a Wilshere shirt. He's my favorite player. But more than likely I'll get my own name.
I also wanted to ask what it was like to be a Citeh supporter before the Sheikh tookover. Did they attract any big name signings before the billions flowed in? Or is this a new phenomenon that you are really enjoying?
