   Sooo, I was listening to "Down in LA" on the way to work and it made me realize how much i miss this board and all of you! So i was thinking this could be a thread to update us on whats going on in our lives. Keep people updated if you choose too :) If theres a thread similiar, sorry,, but we probably need a new one anyways :-p

   So partly I haven't been around because school started on Aug 29th (my last year whoo!) then sorority had recruitment this past weekend (we got 41 new pledges and our chapter as a total is 108! which is huge for Sac State lol) and inbetween that I have worked, tried to catch up on homework.. im just extremely exhausted.

   ONe thing I am excited about is that i JUST preordered PUTS new CD! Ive never pre ordered a CD and of course i had to get their new one so im excited.
   **one problem though, the drop down menu for "state" was empty so i could only put my address, zip and city.. i hope they send it to the right sacramento!

   Whats going on in everyone elses lives?

   Have to say BoomBip....i like the idea, it's a rather odd situation isn't it as i have been a member of this forum now for a few years and even though most of you are half way around the world it's alway good to drop and post and connect with all the regulars on here as whatever lives we lead we all have the same love for hip hop/music and of course PUTS.

   Well basically i am writing this as i sit at my desk at work its now 6:45pm UK time, i am waiting for a report to finish running while i listen to PUTS.

   I've just been working hard (Buyer) done a bit of travelling to various european locations and getting ready for highlighter to drop.

   I like this thread already :D

   Summer is winding down here in Vancouver, just in time for the busy season. Still will be playing lots of soccer and bbq'ing (but with more rain and clouds).

   I'm just wrapping up audio post production on a Canadian feature film (supervising editor on this one), going to be doing some Asian (not sure from which country yet specifically) cartoon episodes, a digital design VFX piece from a Brazilian animator, some ad agency/psa stuff, and a Mexican feature film in the next month or so.

   Other then that collaborating with some producers/mc's I know with remixing and getting on the cut, collecting mad amounts of music, and got a few honeys on the go. Got some new mixes in the works too (when I actually have time to get back on them again).

   Life is good and I have few complaints fellow PUTS fans!

   Nice guys, this semester i'm getting into the Visual Arts and Filming dept. @UWM but also strugglin' to pay off student loans. Excited to get campus buzzin' bout tha new Album drop and so far gettin' a good response. The cold weather is coming down from tha north tho.. Ain't nothing to Keep it HOT like 10+yrs of PUTS

   Good thread, boombip. Glad to see you back on here.

   It's been a over a year now since my home purchase and marriage, but everything is super-chill. Still can't get the wife to help me with the house chores or the cooking though. Weak. And finances are TIGHT as a m'f*cker though. But that's just me complaining.

   I'm essentially done with my Master's thesis in Forensic Sciences, Genetics track (like that Greg Sanders dude from "CSI"... hopefully I'll do field work at some point like that too), but I've gotta get the thesis pushed through the Grad Studies office, so that may take another month or so. Still... it'll be nice to be done (except for having to pay the dang student loans... yikes).

   Since school'll be done soon, I'm looking to have a lot of extra time, so I'm going to start/re-ignite a few projects, one of which is http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/ ... I'll get those other lyrics up if it kills me, haha. My dad's a master woodworker too, and I wanna learn how to do that too. If I could make some handcrafted jewelry boxes, cabinets, or clocks like he does, I could probably sell them for a good price and make a little money on the side.

   So yeah: work is still boring and the money's still tight, but PUTS is still fresh so I'm good.

   Nothing much new here. Just being a daddy to 2 year old (3 in December) toddler twin boys and a 1 year old baby girl. Money is definitely tight in my house as my wife is a stay at home mom for the time being. Potty training is no fun!

   I work for the school system handling grants and for the most part just surviving budget cuts. Affordable health insurance is a major reason why I am still in my position. I've sort of become a jack of all trades in accounting/grants. Basically learning all I can to become more valuable and less layoff-able. It should lead to a promotion next year when some people retire whose job functions I'm learning/undertaking.

   My support of Arsenal was well documented on these boards and the Gunners have become a major part of my life. I live and die with every win, loss or draw.

   I still write rhymes but nothing really to put out for public consumption. Maybe one day I'll record this "new" stuff and let some of you hear it.

   Been a member on here since 2005 (time has flown by!) and although I'm not as active on here as I'd like to be I still check in to see whats going on with everthing and everyone.

   I'm going back to LA in November but this time I'm staying for good. Further pursuing music. Saving up hard now.

   Got an album I'm working on with a bunch of rappers including Coss, Shawn Jackson, Blu, Dynas, Joe Scudda, Sav Killz and a few more. Then a beat 'tape' after that.

   Glad all ya'll happy and got good things going on.

    Haha, yeah, that'd be dope... I'm just thinking... if the wood & other materials cost like $75-100 per item, and I sell them online for $350-$400 (+ a fairly heavy shipping fee, 'cause it'd be highly fragile stuff), I could probably take care of those college loans pretty quickly.

    I need my own TV show though...

    Update: Stepfather lyrics are now all up on http://www.thepointoftherhyme.com/...

    That takes care of every album except Fun DMC and Carried Away. If you all don't mind, I'm gonna post Carried Away's lyrics first because I actually don't have all of Fun DMC's lyrics transcribed yet. (About 7 or 8 songs left to do.)

    After I do the album, solo, and rarities stuff, I'll work on the details & the web interface.

    Well, I performed last night for the first time in years. A special request from my sisters for their joint birthday party. Good to know I still got it.

    Nice! Musical talent can get pretty rusty sometimes if you don't stay up on it, I know.

    So, I'm working overtime at my state job today (need some extra $), and I just processed two of Keenan Ivory Wayans' production company's business documents, haha (can't go into more detail than that... confidentiality, you understand). We get a lot of famous people's signatures on things, and some people here have a little photocopy collection. I think someone even had Michael Jackson's signature at one point.

    So what have i been up too latley???

    Ive started back in university today, 2 years and ill have a degree (if i dont feck it up), Ive also managed to save £1000 over the summer so thats going in a travelling fund so when i finish uni i can go see some of the world, Im doing a course ATM which will allow me to do some voluntary work in local youth centres, working with your people from a variety of backgrounds but maily those from difficult backgrounds and are challenging to work with for different reasons, so that should be good, and will hopfully get me a step closer to getting where i want to be in life, ive lost 6stone with another 3 to go until i reach my goal weight and do a parachute jump... so yeah, im currently in a transitional stage in my life (as i have been for over a year now) and working hard (and sometimes slipping back into old habits) so yeah going well, the way im feeling right now is quite reflective, looking back on life and where ive come from, things im proud of and not so proud of, those who have been an important part of my life and those who are a big part of my life right now, this song just seems to be so right at the moment....
