Yup, so Ugly Duckling are getting ready to tour the UK. But before they leave, they will do a "warm-up" show at DiPiazza's in Long Beach. Been to that venue before and it's great cause you can order up some pretty good pizza while enjoying the music.

There doesn't seem to be much love for UD...I know its the P forum...but surely we should all be supporting them...I've no doubt the P are?
Have we all forgotten 'Shoot Your Shoot'...and the P remix of 'A Little Salsa'?
Ok, maybe not the best tracks each have produced...but still good.
Maybe I'm missing something being from the UK...if so, please enlighten me.

Ok, since I wrote this UD have received support on other threads, so all is good...although their Spotify moment (if true) is still baffling...

I've got nothing but love for UD, and I think most of the cats on this forum do to. Einstein is a wizard on the tables, and Andy and Diz have definitely got flows beyond the "goofy" niche that some people wanna throw them in. "Bang for the Buck" proved that to me.
Personally, their decision to use Spotify doesn't affect me because I know that I'll be buying their albums directly from them. Maybe they did review Thes' warning and just decided to go ahead with Spotify anyway. I wouldn't say that any artist that uses it is a chump, just that Spotify are d*cks for not supporting the artistry that they claim to represent. I'm still on the fence about using the Internet to promote yourself for no profit in the hopes that it eventually pushes your album sales higher. I just haven't seen the actual, real sales data to support either side of the argument. So if UD wants to, I say go for it. If PUTS doesn't... Right on. In both cases, it was the artist's choice, and as long as the artists still have a CHOICE in the matter, music isn't completely dead to me.

Love UD, Dont love being a student and having the finances to match. 
If they were to come to Cardiff i would go, but everywhere else is difficult to get to and if i could get there, the question is do i leave and travel home or do i book a hotel/hostel... tricky one! Also, the shows that are closest 2 me are on school nights and i couldnt get noone to take me (i dont have a car) and public transport would be an difficult...
On a more positive note tho, big up UD for not just doing a gig in London and calling it a "UK" show, theyre playing the places you just wouldnt expect!

Yeah where have I heard that 'Cardiff' track before?
Is it on a DJ Yoda CD or a DJ Yoda and Greenpeace CD?
I saw UD last time they played in the UK, it was Southampton... would have liked to have a beer with them after but me and a mate just smoked a couple of blunts in the venue so had to exit stage right rather swiftly

I'm loving all the tracks on Traveling At Breakneck Speed, but the first four tracks, Run For The Light, Sprint!, and Endless Summer are some of the best UD tracks EVER. They'd be on my "desert island" album, haha. Just thought I'd say it. The bass line on the quieter parts of $100 Weekend is just dope.

I'll keep it brief as the kids will be waking me up in less than 6 hours!
What can I say...UD rocked the party...simple as that!
Decent crowd which took some warming up, but once Andy and Dizzy worked their magic the show was pumping...and Andy's classic about the cut on his knee to the lady he pulled from the crowd will go down in history!
As ever Einstein worked his magic on the turntables...he is a legend.
Got some great shots of me with each member of UD which I'll post in due course, and looking forward to seeing what the Lomo produced in limited light...although still got a few shots to take before the film is finished!
UD...ticked off...just the P left until I can retire a happy man...
