OR
wreck the Thekla boat like a missile
Thekla is a venue in bristol which is actually on a boat, which is what that lyrics refer to tho I'm not sure if he's actually name-checking Thekla itself or not?

I just went back and listened to Quid Control, and it DOES sound "Wreck the Thekla, rock the boat like a missile"... I'll change it up when I get home from work tonight
The only thing better than a PUTS concert would be a PUTS concert on a boat, haha... ... ... ...Hang on! That hot drunk girl in the white tee holding the bottle of Young's is getting to close to the boat's edge! LOOK OUT! *sploosh!* Oh, man... she can't swim!... Wait, who's that? thanks for all the hard work as always, your lyrics page is on my bookmark bar and I reference it probably far more than any other site when it comes to info about the back catalog. Serious props, I've only transcribed a few P songs, having almost their whole collection up is no small task. -

I don't get the ins and outs of record catalog numbers, but I noticed this:
The Next Step (reissue) (OM-033) (2001)
Question (original issue) (OM-036) (2000)... how does a 2001 release have an earlier catalog number than a 2000 release? Was it:
a) They catalogued Next Step first, but just didn't publicly release it 'til after Question?
b) Do I have my years wrong, and the Next Step reissue came out in 2000? -

- Bunched the left-menu image links up, so you don't have to scroll all the way down to get to Highlighter.
- I started the Complete Release List (I'm missing some of the mixtapes and compilations, but the important stuff from 1998-2011 is on it)
- Fixed the lyrics for Quid Control and made some other minor lyrics changes
- Added the DJ Food Stamp "Best Of PUTS" 2006 compilation

Posts: 3,255Posted 14 years ago #Probably will do some transcriptions and page additions here in the next hour or so (it's already 11:30, so probably won't do much), BUT I decided to jump on here really quick and mention:
I added "Buy Now" links to PL70 for the stuff that PL70 is currently selling. (Example) This doesn't count their "Out Of Stock" merch. Basically, that includes every album on CD EXCEPT Fun DMC and Next Step, as well as the Highlighter, Youth Explosion, Pass The 40, and Tuxedo Rap LPs.
Hopefully, any wayward viewers of my website will now be more enticed to purchase stuff now that it's only a click away... we'll see!

I just transcribed "Sally (Remix)" (I'll do DBC tomorrow probably), and while the first verse is the same as the original on Stetsasonic's "In Full Gear" (so, basically, I know it's Daddy-O), the other two verses are ones I've never heard before... they also sound like Daddy-O, but I wasn't sure... does anyone know who rapped verses 2 & 3 for The Next Stets?

I'm transcribing Lifestyle Marketing, and I've isolated the Pan-Am samples Thes used (here's the webpage, under "For Once In A Lifetime")... I've gotten everything except ONE LINE in "Pan-Am 2"
Thes uses the Spanish Pan-Am ad (it's the second language on this track: http://www.panamair.org/multimedia/Track%2020.mp3)... WHAT ARE THEY SAYING? It's the one line that sounds like "Vamanos, la monor, vegadior" or something like that... anyone?

Now, I only have to post noonen, doin' it, bloquera, back on the block, and a few collaborative tracks, mixtapes, and instrumentals albums, and I'm more or less done with the site... Maybe about 40-50 pages in all. It'll be nice to be done.
