Man, thanks for mentioning this! I had never heard of him so I checked a couple joints out - not expecting anything - and pretty much lost my sh!t. This is the super fat album I always wished I'd stumble upon one day. I copped the CD and have been bumping it non-stop lately. Mad respect to Fat Hed!

Anybody here know Mass Influence? They're from Atlanta but their label is Danish they've never had much press. I don't know how well known they are in the States but they're fairly well known on the European Underground scene. We're not talking that sh*tty crunk BS you think of when you think of Atlanta, this is some awesome, Golden Age-style sh*t. They released an album back in 1999 called The Underground Science. Shh*t is dope.

Yup, I first heard of Massinflu when Redefinition Records released a 7" single last year. By now I got that plus pretty much their entire back catalogue through Bandcamp. Their records definitely are gems!
On the Fat Hed tip, he just dropped a new record on Bandcamp. I didn't expect this at all but I'm excited to hear what he's got in store!

Gotta agree with the Gravediggaz & K. Jorge mentions. Kurious' "A Constipated Monkey" album gets lost in the mix when talking about all the absolute Hip Hop Classics of the 90's. Also, more recently is MF Grimm's "You Only Live Twice". This album was a top 12 of the year for me a couple years back and has gained Classic status, personally. Most anything by Masta Ace, especially "Disposable Arts" and "A Long Hot Summer". Amazing concept albums along with Prince Paul's "A Prince Among Thieves". Another off the top is Edan's "Primitive Plus" which often gets over shadowed by "Beauty and the Beat".
I love concept albums, so i'm a have to check out Aceyalone's "A Book of Human Language".
