PUTS is headlining this time (with only one opening act). It's an 18 and over show, $15 a ticket, 9:00 on Thursday... and since the next day's Veterans' Day, I don't have to worry about waking up early to get to work I just nabbed my ticket. Anyone else going?

IF the homies are down for another interview (NO GUARANTEES), I think it'd be cool to have some good fan forum questions to ask, so...

What would you ask PUTS?

I'll select the best stuff I hear here to take with me to the show, and we'll see if I can ask it or not. In the meantime, Thes seemed okay with me asking about specific songs, so I may also compile a tiny list of specific questions.

Will we ever see some exclusive unreleased albums/compilations on PL70? More specifically the other 20 or so songs that were made for Stepfather, especially that beat where Double K is scratching "if you're in the city" over it on the DVD. Slow Bullet with lyrics? Beat CD's like the Christmas CD or maybe of some of Double K's "throwaways" because we'd buy that stuff up with the quickness!

PUTS ever coming to Scandinavia again ( I know the have visited Sweden ) ? And yeah I am also wondering about if they are ever going to release any "Unreleased Stuff"-compilation.

I know we keep banging on about it, but like Sak said, any chance of them crossing the wates & doing the UK? They could double up with Finland...& if they were lucky they might even meet up with some 'fine' ladies from the limited selection in Britain! Although fine ladies would be garanteed if they hit Sweden! I know B said its not easy, but it would be interesting to hear their thoughts.

So far, I'm hearing a lot of stuff about "Will you tour (here)?" and "Will you release (unreleased materials/rarities)?"... They covered a little bit of that in the SF interviews and/or off-tape banter, and it SOUNDED like:

- the touring is up to the promoter and booking agent, who work to bundle dates together and unify a tour into something profitable for all involved (back me up if I'm a little off on this, spelunk), and the artist really just gets a call and they say "yes"/"no"... and sometimes, places like the Midwest or other countries are a little harder for the promoter and booking agent to find reasonable venues (or enough of them) that are worth the travel to get there. BUT don't let that dishearten you, the P have a lot of life left in them, and they'll find a way...

- Thes and Double have ALL their rare stuff archived, so it exists, but a lot of the unreleased stuff might not really get a chance to get out there anytime soon. For one, Thes and Double sorta doubt the quality of it... maybe they are even a little embarrassed by it. The several times that I mentioned anything about rare stuff during the S.F. show, Thes kinda sidestepped the question, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get all Wolf Blitzer on him and press him for answers.

I'm completely cool with asking about both topics again though, and I can be specific to the places/items you guys asked about... not a prob...

But do you guys have any questions for them regarding their lives, their released stuff (albums/songs), stories you want elaborated on, favorite beers, etc.?

Nicely put Sac, and we hear you with regards to the touring. Its sounds like its out of their hands, but it would be nice to find out if they could tour anywhere...where would it be?

Although I imagine the truth of the matter would be NOT in the UK...but I wouldn't blame them...I wouldn't tour the UK...and I live here!
That dude is probably still after Thes for his bathroom shenanigans!!

However, as an ale drinker, it would be interesting to know what beers Thes & Double rate?
I know Thes loves an ale, but I wouldn't have Double down as a massive fan of pale/stout...maybe he could confirm?

Didn't mean to come off as "demanding" unreleased stuff, but with PL70 there are now a means to put this stuff out if they so choose and a market for it.

Oh, no, man, I wasn't trying to be critical at all...

I'm with you like 2,000% on this, and I would probably turn against my current sexual orientation, start up an anti-Walmart terrorist cell, get smacked out and sacrifice twenty fat girls to the Great Chibbum, install a beer-aqueduct and internal plumbing from the nearest microbrewery into Piecelock Studios, or build a new Atlantis in the Mariana Trench just to get a copy of The Step or some kind of American Men Vol. 2 or something.

I'm just saying that pressing the homies on it in San Francisco sorta seemed like it didn't get me a straight answer, haha.

Would love to know who they would both team up with for a one off track, either dead or alive? Dream collaboration if you will, i know PUTS aint about "collaborating" with big names just 2 get recognised, but a one off track, no stigma attatched, who would it be?

Every now and then I watch that youtube video of Mod Def reciting Doom lyrics. Pure awesomeness.

I noticed the original question said "dead or alive"...should I make it a two-parter and ask them for one current artist and one artist of days past?

Is there anyone non-hip-hop that you think would make for an interesting guest? That's a harder question... after hearing All Good Things, I was thinking Thom Yorke, but if I thought harder, maybe I could think of an even better fit... maybe Laetitia Sadier from Stereolab?

Its your call sactown, see what mood their in and how pushed 4 time they are, tho asking about non hip-hop would certainly be an intresting spin on the question. Use your discretion dude.

If they are in a more philisopical mood would love to know if they have any regrets, i know they all about having fun but is there anything they wish they had done different? I personally regret ever starting smoking! Bloody bain of my life!
