   My PUTS wax collection has come a looong ways in the last year:
   
   All but Highlighter I copped from 360 Vinyl in downtown Portland. The best spot. I actually caught the big homies doing a signing show there in the midst of the Highlighter US tour. Nothing better than a 5:1 fans to performer ratio in a tiny hole-in-the-wall record shop.
   
   Got my hands on the repress of this gem (green not blue), but unfortunately the manufacturer's QCing was poor at best. The edge is only tapered about a third of the way around, there are places where the grooves track so poorly as to give a hissing sound out the right channel, there's one splotch of gunk that renders Uptown Cabaret unplayable, and the run-out grooves are horribly wonky. My friend bought himself a copy at the same time, and while his edge taper is fine and the face splotch-free, his has similar tracking and run-out groove problems. DO NOT BUY THIS REPRESS. There were plenty of the originals done, be patient for one of those, I jumped on the rp for the green vinyl, bad choice.

    in hindsight, i really wish i had've sprung for all 3 of those RSD gems... just didn't have the scratch.

    grabbed this yesterday in town:

    

    not as bombastically awesome as his 1st LP, but still great... (sophomore curse etc)

    that 'for Def's Sake' 45 is one of my all time favorites...

    i listen to a black one and have that same clear one still buttoned up all crispy new

    K-Def's production level lately is over the top

    4 LPs in 4 months

    which are all good in their own way but still all very different from the others

    got some SOS heat coming in the mail, stay tuned!
