Oh yes nice purchases. Gotta give extra props for Tibbs for that BoC album. BoC has a special place in my heart and in my vinyl -shelf right next to PUTS.

Can't beat a bit of Boc every now and again to help ease the madness of this modern world.

Yeah read that. Don't need em' tough since I got all the "main" releases on OG vinyl and CD. Just snatched the Kaleidoscope. Bwooii!
Oh and on the side note..check Damu's Spur Momento Trailer (I recommend the Direct Version) and Klaus Layer's debut release from Redef. Qualityyy!

^those goodies from ReDef^ just arrived here yesterday (along with K-Def's new record 'the Meeting')...
utter dopeness.... especially the Klaus Layer. been rinsing the HELL out of that
too much 'skit' type sh!t on the Damu one for my liking, i like his beats more than all those old talky samples he has dug up, cool as they are and all.
i'm hoping the full 'Spur Momento' will more than make up for it.

Yeah a tad bit too mat yadi yadi for my liking too but some of the beats are really good. I like the one with church bells and strings a lot. I guess Damu wont let us down with Spur Momento. How It Should It Sound 1 & 2 is still on heavy rotation!
Concerning Klaus, I think I was a bit underwhelmed with the amount of material that was on the LP. Not many and one was twice (Illest in Charge, with vocals and instrumentals) but I was happy since there were some new beats that are not up on his soundcloud. Some of my favorites also!

Got all that heading my way.
Expensive (but good) times at the moment.

It's been a year in this thread but I'll join in on the Redef love! While we're still waiting for Spur Momento Klaus Layer is a beast and has recently released his third instrumental LP (plus a 10" EP and a 7")! The first one is still my favorite but they're all good. Here's some of the black (or coloured!) gold I recently acquired:

Tommy Guerrero's new LP sounds like a spaghetti western and it's awesome!

After listening to this one on Bandcamp for far too long I finally grabbed it a couple days ago. This record's on fire!

A heavenly album issued on vinyl for the first time. Gondwana Records is a jazz imprint for gourmets!

And I can finally call this lovely record my own!

Yeah, I've had Gitar's album for a while now but I just had to include a photo - it's probably my favorite LP right now.
Let's keep this thread alive so lads, let's see what you got!

Really liking that Tommy Guerrero.

It's nice, isn't it? And the artwork is sweet, too! Love the colours. As for new records, here's what I got these past couple weeks.
Mo Kolours' debut full-length - mellow tunes that go well with sunglasses and board shorts!

I heard Darondo's Didn't I on Breaking Bad and just had to get it on vinyl!

This one should find a place right next to my Charles Bradley records. Just Can't Win is the track that got me!

Psychedelic rock with a ton of funk on peanut butter-coloured vinyl? I'm in! Electric Peanut Butter Company rules.

De La Tribe, give The Budos Band a try. Their latest effort feels and sounds a little like Tommy Guerrero's.

Stephan Abel is a tenor sax player from Germany whose jazz feels soft and warm, which is just what I like!

Man, this one looks sweet! Check the photos on Bandcamp, especially the sleeve is a beauty! It sounds nice, too.
The Portland-based Fresh Selects imprint is going places!
Lads, where's your vinyl porn? Show 'em off!

Yeah, I know Budos Band, they're real good. Kinda like El Michaels Affair.
That Lee Fields is really good too. If you don't already have it you should check out his album My World.
And just for fun here's a great song he does with Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings:
