I wish that was the case but... Bush wouldn't do sh!t unless he could make some bank. Thats is the only language he is fluent in, he really is as stupid as he seems!

Posts: 3,618Posted 20 years ago #this type of thing always gets me pissed off. The number of times Fox or NBC or whoever will censor something to avoid controversey or in order to try and protect the president (ie: "being patriotic" ??) and their own conservative opinions...
Kanye West, besides the fact I'm not his biggest fan, that was amazing. You could see that despite his normal front of confidence he was couldn't hide his emotion on it and he felt he had to say something. He was obviously scared of saying it on national TV and he'd get in trouble and whatnot, respect to him, he did the right thing.
man, I don't even know if there are any objective news reports in the USA now, I've said it before and I'll say it again, you guys need the BBC
One thing I want to know though - they censored what he said out from the West coast transmission so how did you west coasters hear about it? Did any other news stations even mention that it had happened or was it all about the good old internet?
Plus, what was Mike Myers saying as he got cut off, kinda sounded like "Please call... (the police?)" -

there are over hundreds of thousands of subscribers to direct tv and dish network on the west coast. because of them being a eastcoast satellite provider. WE ALL get east coast programming. So if comedy central airs a new south park at 10 pst in the west coast, those of us with satellite get the transmissionat 7pst on the west coast. so thats why most of us got to see it in my block. -

Posts: 8Posted 20 years ago #ok, to try and put the blame on one person (ie Bush) or one organization for what hapened with hurricane katrina is just dumb. its easy to start pointing fingers at head officials, espescially when there's already a bias towards them, but ya'll gotta understand that this hurricane hit a lot harder than people expected. i'll admit that the news has been unfair in regards to their "looting/survival" comments.but on the other hand there was a shitload of looting goin on and a lot of it was blacks because those were the majority of the people stuck in new orleans due to the fact that they had no way of leaving.it's sad but its true, new orleans has a huge population of impoverished people and those people simply had no way of leavin the city so after the hurricane hit they were left with absolutly nothin.thats why temptations ran high when the opportunity came up to start robbin the city. i was suposed to start classes at loyola the day the hurricane hit and had it not been for my parents draggin me outa there i probably wouldve been stuck up sh!t creek. all my sh!t's still down there and i have a ton of family livin in new orleans and they dont feel any sort of hate towards anyone. its a hurricane, a NATURAL disaster.if anyone's to blame it's the head of FEMA since that's their department, not Bush's.and since the head of FEMA got fired i really dont think Bush's balls should be on the choppin board.and to say that Bush is only interested in makin bank isn't really true at all, presidents don't make sh!t.all im sayin is look past the finger pointing cause its over and realize what everyone else in the US and the world is doin for the people down there. i dont know about ya'll but when i hear how much people have donated and all the different things people are doin to help out down there, i think it feels nice that our country is finally comming together even after such a tragedy. i just dont think theres really anything to be hateful towards in this situation. keep blazin -

This is True, Bush doesn't even have any Balls to put on the ye ol Choppin' Block so i see your point...
& Presidents don't make that much money... at least in office. It's the policies that are made while he has been in office as well as the contracts given to certain companies that line the pockets of those so-underpayed politicians. Not tryin' to hate on lil georgie, but he is the worst president this fine country has ever seen...
