knew he had on-going issues dealing with drink. Heard a recent interview with him though and he's a really knowledgable/aware dude. A truely troubled soul though. RIP
Rodney King, the man who became a reluctant symbol of America's troubled race relations and whose beating by four white police officers led to the worst race riots in modern US history, has been found drowned in his swimming pool after what was apparently a night of drinking and drug taking.
I wonder how this impacts life in LA especially. Would there be anything akin to a state funeral for such an (accidentally) iconic figure such as King?
And just as in the UK the police officer who killed Ian Tomlinson is finally getting tried
