Posted 21 years ago #Hey guys - first of all thanx for making some truly truly great music.... Just a few questions..
UK dates? UK plans? We love you guys here, and you know this!!!
also, we all wanna contribute to the PUTS cause, well I do anyway - the selection of PUTS merchandise on the OM website is weak, can you hook us up with some merchandise, or tell us wear we can buy this stuff online?
Thanx!
Oh and cheers for giving the UK peeps props in tracks like yield and quid control!!!! -
Posted 21 years ago #While we are working on the new album, we are on a little bit of a tour hiatus. But you know we will be back out there as soon as we are done. The UK has kept us going through alot of tough times. As far as merch goes, I am thinking about starting an online store via Ebay, so we can get everyhting sent out and updated asap. What do you guys think about that? also any spoecial merchandise requests besides t-shirts? Keep eating them walkers salt and vinegars.

Posted 21 years ago #Oh yeah man, and while i'm eatin them tasty walkers down, I be puttin' letters together like i'm on countdown!
..anything you guys feel like throwin' together, i'm sure would be appreciated. Do you take care of the merch yourselves, or do you have to go thru OM?
Slip-mats? Artwork (postcards, photos, etc)?
On the clothing front, other than t-shirts - maybe some hoodys?
I'm definately down with the ebay store idea! Do it! Do it now! -
Posted 21 years ago #Gudam Countdown. I feel like it's the only thing the ever show on BBC (or at least while I'm waiting to go to soundcheck)!!!
Vowel Vowel another vowel consonant consonant consonant goddamn show. -
Posted 21 years ago #lol - it's on channel 4 tho. not the bbc. consider yourself skool'd!
Any other lasting memories about the UK, or my fair residence of London??
...can I just add, that I can't believe I'm even talkin' to you man, this is so cool! -
Posted 21 years ago #I always wondered how you schooled-up so well on that UK knowledge for Quid Control - did you have to ask DJ Yoda about some of that stuff?
About the ebay thing though that sounds cool - I think some posters or stickers could be dope too, let us know how you get on with that man, glad to see you up on here Thes
keep it real, yoyopo -
Posted 21 years ago #ide rock the hoodie every day!
you can even put up an fan art contest to design a logo, or just go with some o.g. puts logo from the albumn covers. -
Posted 21 years ago #Oh bam,, skooled indeed. I shouldv'e known that but to my credit I thought the BBC ran all of them channels. It sure seems that way. As far as that knowledge of the Isle, it came from being over there so much touring. And everytime we get back over there we bug out on the new trends/songs that are hot and what not. I remember one year we stepped off of the plane and everyone was listening to this damn "Sex Bomb" song everywhere we went. Believe me, they never played that in the US not once! And everytime we come across something memorable like that Dub and I look at eachother like we are at the top of the page there and remember it. it just took a song for all of those things to come out. We toured 4 years the UK riding the trains alone from town to town so you pick up on alot like that, nawmean?! Things like Macclesfield (sounds like a bad ass killa gang from south central), Ribina (nasty ass sh!t),, oh oh, peep: We used to hang on Queen Ann Road at this nasty ass Comfort Inn across from the park until everyone got bed bugs and I ripped apart the lobby in a drunken rage. What about fckn' Little Chef??!! don't get me started on that spot. Stonehedge on the side of an A-road? what's up with that? Queasyjet. Prawn flavoring. etc. Yeah, we've spent as much time riding the tube with yall as the next bloke.
but for real, I love it over ther with yall. -
Posted 21 years ago #that's cool man, and pretty damn good that you decided to give us props like that. There's a lot of similarities between the UK and US, but there's a sh!t load more that is completely different. Prawn flavoring etc... lol you guys are missing out!
I now you hit up Warwick University not so long ago (which actually ain't based in Warwick, it's in nearby Coventry) anyways, thats my hometown and sh!t am i pissed that I missed you.
And yeah, Ribena (and Lucozade for that matter) are both pieces of sh!t. Iron Bru is something you guys should have tried, that's something so foul-tasting, I'm.... sh!t... I'm just gonna have to stop talkin about it. -

How the chances stand that we can watch you live in Germany a day???
Ever been there, and what do you think about a tour there?
Thx

Posted 21 years ago #Yeah Deflori, we've actually been to Germany a few times. Shows in towns so small I can't remember the names. Bailing around on the train, just jumpin from spot to spot. We have spent alot of time hanging in Cologne doing press, and I think the biggest city we ahve done a show in is Munich, where Jaz and I accidentally walked into a whorehouse filled with 40 year old hookers. best beer in the world though, or at least I remember thinking that after I had about 7 or 8 of 'em. Next time we do Europe I definantly wan to do Germany proper, or at least the main cities.
Ironman, I saw that but was scared of it. Lucozade is definantly Devil urine with kidney stones. PepsiMax wouldn't fly in America and, at least to me, you're Coca-Cola tastes like crap. Dub and I surmise that it's because the ingredient list includes "Vegetable Extracts" (It tastes pretty different in the US). Once you get over to mainland EU it tastes fine though. And there is no Veg. Extracts. weird. I guess it's just what you get used to as a kid. Got some damn good cheddar though. -
Posted 21 years ago #DAMN, so our sodas basically taste like dead anus, but we got good cheese??
Yeah, you have a better selection of food type items over in the US I'll give you that. Lowry's Beef Jerky tops my list, along with Corn Dogs - which I could eat all day. If I was injured in a car accident or if i was vegetated in any way, i'd wanna have corn dogs blended down and fed to me through the IV.
I remember being very drunk in Cologne, but didn't manage to stumble into a whorehouse - sounds like fun, although i'm sure that after a few drinks those 40 year old skanks would have been far too tempting. sh!t. -
Posted 21 years ago #Yeah thes:)
sh!t often the puts are so wide under the stairs, that i didnt catched thes dates: (
Munich is not so far from me,iam from nuernberg,so its sh!t that i dont catched this date...
The beer is great, yeah - munich is definetly the "beertown" No.1 in Germany, good to hear that it was good for you here ...
Would be so great if there would be dates for germany in the next year(s)
Nuernberg or (erlangen - its called e-werk) would be the best, small but a spot who many acts scratched their sh!t off - your so welcome, for germans is so hard to see my favourite acts like puts and pete rock:( -
Posted 21 years ago #How can you guys slag off Ribena. There isn't a better squash drink around. And no one mentioned Cadbury's chocolate. Tell me the Americans do better chocolate than Cadbury's. You can't.
If you do set up shop will you be selling records? Some of the singles can get well expensive by the time they reach our shores (i.e. singles) so will their be seperate distribution in the U.K?
You should also try to sell music by acts that PUTS have been involved in like Giant Panda and Raashan Ahmad.
Peace out bredwins. -
Posted 21 years ago #as far as I'm concerned Ribena tastes like dirty sugar
Cadbury's is alright - avoid nestle though
