*Punk has not been the same genre since these boys broke up. All I see in terms of this market is MTV-digested chipmunk leavin's. Anybody who can bless this cat with something to respark the "funk-punk, no need to be a" Pioneer within me, then shoot a pm or just drop it here. -

f***ing great record man, seriously.
As for other hardcore bands depends what you're into but check out Most Precious Blood for a recent band and for some old stuff definitely check out Gorilla Biscuits - their stuff takes a while to get used to but it's good. The lead guy behind that band Walter Schreifels was also in Quicksand, Rival Schools and now Walking Concert who are really an acoustic mellow kinda band now but are amazing, I imported their album to here from America. basically I love everything Walter does, PM me if you want more info on him.
Yeah, I'm garbling but there's some good metal bands too, Bullet for my Valentine for one...
edit - oh yeah and have you heard Helmet or more recently The Mars Volta who definitely involve some funk punk -

Helmet is that classic, never bought an album but bringing them up creates a certain demand. The Mars Volta a cat brought me into along with Chevelle when Point #1 came out oh so long ago.
Good looking for the punk list, and many props on being the only person I've ever mentioned Refused to without a slight cringe appearing. In a similar stranded question, how did International (Noise) Conspiracy sound in comparison to Refused; I know this was the project they were kinda involved in afterwards, if you picked it up or if anyone did. -

Posted 21 years ago #i never got the International Noise Conspiracy record, I heard it's good but not as good as Refused. But then again I haven't actually heard it, why don't you go pick it up?

Posted 21 years ago #deffinetly check out international noise conspiracy and try to get there 2001 release 'new morning, changing weather' its great if you like the refused and with a song titled "Capitalism Stole My Virginity" how can you go wrong. there latest release 'armed love' produced by rick rubin was pretty dissapointing they changed there style up for a go at getting mtv/mainstream success and its just not as hard as there older stuff and to some degree they ditched there political messege for radio playability.
my current ipod jams are
nujabes

rjd2
beck - midnight vultures album very brilliant but never got much radio play
