Posts: 52Posted 20 years ago #yeah legalization and even decriminalization are pretty unlikely for denver, just like every american city (silly feds). what i can imagine coming out of this realistically is a law similar to seattle's initiative 75 which makes marijuana offenses the lowest priority for enforcement. so far i-75 has been really effective in cutting costs and freeing up resources, not to mention arrest rates have plummeted, good news for everyone. in the end it's still a good cop/bad cop issue, some will choose to look the other way, some won't. but overall it's a big first step; it shows that the public's perspective on the drug is shifting.
