I hope i am not the only one extremely DISSAPOINTED by dangerdoom, first of all i think of doom as an AMAZING MC, and for him to get together with a terrible producer like danger mouse (who i hear uses computers and keyboards) and make pure sh!t like BENZI BOX, hearing that song really makes me wonder what doom was thinking when he mae it. am i the only one here feeling this? -

Posts: 35Posted 20 years ago #I listened to Space Hos, Old School, and El Chupa Nibre countless times when I first heard the tracks - probably too many times. Went back to the album a few weeks ago after a long hiatus, and it's still Rockin' -

One of the best of last year in my opinion but pretty much everything Doom does is incredible for lyrics and flow alone.
Only the skits are pretty annoying, especially as I don't get the Adult Swim programmes over here so I don't know what the f*ck they are on about. I even considered loading the whole thing onto cooledit to cut all that sh!t out and make a skitfree version for the mp3 player.
I really don't like skits. -

Posts: 161Posted 20 years ago #amazingly, even though I am a hater, I liked the album alot. Part of it is that I really like ATHF a lot. I thought the beats were good, but nothing crazy good.
So yeah, I thought it was good. An enjoyable listen. I wont list it as one of my faves of 05 or anything. -

Posts: 428Posted 20 years ago #Gotta say I actually agree with the man. I reall wasn't feelin it that much. Doom is dope and I thought some of dangermouses beats on ghetto pop life were pretty good. But definitely a disappointment. El chupa libre is dope. I'm with ya on benzi box, thats is sh!t.
Can't touch a classic like doomsday. -

plus Schooly D sings the theme song and is also the shows narrator, so there is some connection there music wise.
i think its kinda cool seeing music i like on tv a little where this music really has no place on tv at all.. and adult swimns commercials are absolutly hilarious.
Saw a JDEE tribute last night on Adult Swim commercial, it said something, rather, his music will live on, showed the donuts cover, and threw the stonestrow website up for a split sec.

Posts: 384Posted 20 years ago #the albumn was def inspired by the shows, not only ATHF but theres also skits from Harvey birdman, and Sealab 2021. So if you were the network and had your cartoons on an albumn wouldn you promote it on tv?
i think its fair to say the relationship was 50/50 but the musicians probably asked the network first if they could have the charachter camios and such, and in letting them do so, made the commercials for the albumn, exposure on both sides, working together.,
fair game.
