Posted 21 years ago #Mad respect to Starving Artists for bringing out a fine release, and props to thes on the the remix of the kick clap and production tip on five day trippin.
my favourite tracks have got to be the Kick Clap (remix), Grateful Dead & B-Boy Buffet. anyone else pick this up, tell me what you felt most. -
Posted 21 years ago #I got Kick Clap 12" and the Up Pops The Sac sampler CD - I need to get the LP sometime
. I don't know the tracknames straight off but most are real dope. You're right - mad respect to the SAC crew (I know half of them are on here somewhere...) can't wait for both their new LP and one from Giant Panda

Posted 21 years ago #Well I'm glad somebody likes us!!!!
Since you mentioned "Gratefull Dead", I thought I'd share some lesser-known facts about the song. Me and Brainstorm originally recorded it as a solo song back in 1997, and instead of him rapping the "Where will I go..." chorus, I had the Saafir loop going instead. Check the song "Can U Feel Me?" off of his "Boxcar Sessions" album. Thanks for the love everybody! p.s. The Giant Panda album is gonna kick some serious arse! -
Posted 21 years ago #diggin saggy pants as well. classic sh!t.
props. -
Posted 21 years ago #That's interesting that you like Saggy Pants... I only say this because some critics have dissed the song because SP was talking about "being white". As if to say that there is no reason to bring the subject up, "make an issue out of it", or draw attention to it. Well, the fact of the matter is that SP IS a plumber (that's what he does for a living) and he DOES work with people who are exactly like this. He has to put up with shiit like this almost everyday. Some of us here in Michigan, especially where I live, have to put up with a lot of narrow-minded jackasses, who just so happen to be stuck on "classic" 70s rock. Yo man, on the real, I'm glad you like our shiit!!!

Posted 21 years ago #"The Promise" will go down as one of my local classic songs. I don't care if I do dance to it or wave my hands in the air - by myself. Brainstorm absolutely kills that track.
"Ill Na Na" is a local fave in Detroit... "a bag of blue funk and a fresh female"
"B-Boy Buffet" has to be one of the more clever songs to come out to date. There should be a small limited edition pressing of it on vinyl. Word.
