   so I only found out this track 'crazy' was produced by Dangermouse yesterday. when I heard that I was like
   Today I find out it's actually DM and Cee-Lo! For real what is going on? This track has got a ridiculous amount of airplay and for the past month I thought it was by Basement Jaxx

   100% it is total garbage as i said on the UD forum ( aka Wizz Markie )
   I was really dissapointed and to hear DM produced this peace of pop crap, i could forgive him gorillaz as it was a concept thing even if i didn't like the music apart from dirty harry and kind of dug it but not this.dispite this i still think DM is a great producer lets hope he regrets it and forgets he ever did it and take the money and use it for something useful like making great records like he was made to do.
   
   Nothing remotely to do with Hip-Hop, its a sad fact you can't stop people liking this rubbish i guess.

   I never liked Dangermouse really. I can't understand the hype on him.
   "Crazy" is a dope cut to me. Cee-Lo is the man also.
   
   But I heard the album on myspace and it's underwhelming. I don't think it's as bad as you guys are saying though. I'm actually surprised folks are shitting on it that hard.
   I mean, is it okay for folks to not just do hip-hop tracks? Growth is a good thing in my eyes. PUTS change up every time. They're using live instruments on Stepfather. It sounds a bit different, but does that mean it's no longer as good?

   I don't think anyone has ever suggested that it is hip-hop! A lot of people presumed that's what it would be.
   In my opinion there isn't nothing wrong with people who made their name doing hip-hop doing different styles of music.
   I haven't heard the album yet but I'm gonna get it as I think Cee-Lo has a great voice.
   
   I also don't understand all the hate Dangermouse gets just because he gets love from Broadsheet newspapers. So what? He makes some good beats and he makes some horrid beats but I'd rather have Dangermouse sitting at the top of the charts with a soul record than sh!t like Laffy Taffy, Nelly, Ying Yang Twins etc etc etc

    I wasn't actually hating on this at all. I'm just saying when I found out who was actually behind that track I was surprised like 'oh sh!t!' because I just thought it was just another pop song. It was just background music on the radio you know? The fact that it is by DM and Cee-lo I find that dope, I mean it just got to number 1 here in the UK (not that I really follow that chart ting), it's like gorillaz where everyone is feeling it but no-one actually knows who is behind it. How many people will now have heard of MF Doom? it's fresh.
    
    It's not hip hop and it's not my kind of thing (those 2 arent related) but it's cool, props to them man

    Yeah I'm the same, the charts too me are just a list of which Labels and PR companies have the most clout, nothing to do with music quality anymore.

    I do wish we lived in a world where labels didn't keep people from appreciating good music. I listen to everything, because I know occasionally good tunes are made - no matter who the source is. I try not to allow where it comes from to pervert that.

    i agree 100% with that to be honest just wasn't feeling it and i love DM just couldn't get myself to feel it much as i wanted to !
    I also agree with the point that if it gets people to ge into other hip-hop related to it as a result thats great.
