last fall...real cool guy.
Only heard it once a while ago. I'll check it again. -

Posts: 52Posted 20 years ago #i have it on cd...it makes for a good listen. kind of a hard album to describe though. um, it's really eclectic, a couple tracks from india, some soul, a rare cut from the man himself, and, well, a lot of music you'd imagine chris putting on a wedding mix for friends and family. an extremely personal album.
actually thes said it a lot better in the liner:

When THe P rolled THrougH here last week I had THes sign my copy & he was like," I would be personally offended if THis ever got bootlegged!" I would be too if i poured my heart & soul into somethin' like THaT. -

But yeah, it's a DJ mix by Thes. It's not on wax. Some really dope tracks are on it though. It has inspired the anniversary mixes I make for my girl. I make more of a point to share the records I cop and build a catalogue the songs she really likes. -

Posts: 384Posted 20 years ago #wasnt it going for like 8 or 10 bucks at piecelock, I dont like seeing people making money off this, thes opened up to us his personal family music im not sure how i feel about having it up a bid that high... although I do wish i bought a copy while piecelock was still up. -

If it's an official copy, all you can do is be in awe in the interest in people having rare material by members of PUTS. It's that simple. Hell, it makes me think twice about selling mine. I wouldn't, but if I were down and out... I dunno, it might be that move. If it's a bootleg though -

I think it's just chance. Folks want the CD obviously. If dude posts a couple more copies, then you should get suspicious. Right now, it's the only auction of it on the internet. Checking for completed listings, I don't see the CD has been sold anywhere else. Whoever is selling this copy has lucked up.
Most of the copies were given away, because it was a wedding gift (I got mine from Thes himself). The rest was sold on the piecelock ebay site, I guess you can't be shocked.
I hope the person bidding on it isn't expecting a hip-hop mix. They'll be sorely mistaken.

For $58. I understand that this is a sentimental mix CD by Thes for his wedding guests so I did feel a little hesitent bidding on it, but for this album, and that it is so close to home I had to. I was also curtius enough to email Thes to ask how he felt about it(no response yet so if any one sees him at an up coming show let him know to check his messages). I also know that he would be DAMN UPSET if there are bootlegs going around of this so please inform me on how I could tell so I can destroy it
, Thes verified that the rhymin with bonz 12" was a fake when I showed him the day I picked it up by just looking for the breaks where the skit should be. Also understand Im not an asshole If Thes doesn't want me to have Mithia so be it, it will be on a first class flight to West LA back to his hands no matter how much I paid. Thats right because I have respect for these Two and for what they're accomplishing.
