What's actually worse is that word soup = spam bots!
I have no idea how to do this, but I believe it's possible to set up forums so that memberships have to be pre-approved by a mod/webmaster..? Might be easier than battling the constant flood of gibberish spam posts we've been seeing on here in the long run, too. (@YoYoPo & SLC Head)

I have looked into this before and some reason couldn't find a plug-in to do it. Will look again. In the past I didn't want to put that on because it's really annoying for people who legitimately sign up and want to post straight away....
Just to note, I currently have 5 or 6 plug-ins that are supposed to stop spammers registering and one of them alone says it has blocked 37,314 spammers!! It's a hard world out there!!

LOL, f*** the spammers no doubt! It's pretty rare that they get a post through with the changes you made to the security a couple of months ago. The thing that seems to be slipping through the cracks are the tags... every time the system junks a post the tags that are attached the post stay valid and aren't deleted.
I think the idea Sac had a while back of adding some sort of captcha function to making posts would be a huge deterrent, if it's even possible. Whether it's a typical alphabet style or the new mathematical type, it would make sure no script spammers are getting through(which are 99.99% of the spammers).

Yep, you guys are doing a great job - certainly didn't mean to come off sounding all critical. 
As I mentioned before my knowledge on the subject is limited at best, but I figured I'd throw the idea of approving new members manually out there. It's always easier to turn troublemakers away at the door than it is to control 'em afterwards, nahmean..?
Also: Welcome Ceasar Salad. If you'd piped up sooner I'm sure Sac wouldn't have thrown your name in with the alphabet soup.

Thes just popped in on one of my Instagram posts a second ago to drop some knowledge about the making of "A Little Salsa" (the "A Little Samba" remix they did for Ugly Duckling:
piecelock70: true story about that one - the engineer (UD engineer) and Andy wouldn't let me stay in the studio and mix my beat, they had me just dump all the samples on the tape and leave. When I heard it I was thoroughly unhappy with how they mixed it. Valuable lesson learned that time - when you make the beat, you stay and mix it.
