Posts: 44Posted 21 years ago #Man that 411 video sure had some staying power for the P, cause I've heard a lot of fans around here say that the first time they heard them was SF Knights of the 411 video. I didn't even here them until my buddy played O.S.T. for me right after it came out. He walked into a local record store and they were playing O.S.T. in the store. Keepn' it Live was on at the time and my friend mike immediately just bought it. -

.. Got quite a few favorite P songs, my all time favourite is Mid-City Fiesta at the moment, but that might change the more I listen..

Yes indeed. 411 have had alot of tunes from p.u.t.s over the years. It was the Sf Knights instrumental on colt cannons rookie section at the time if I'm right. Being born in Sf myself, but now residing in the Uk it was such a dope song that I got such a good vibe from, sending a shiver down my spine just in the first few seconds of the song. You know that feelin when you know it's dope right away!? Thats what it felt like!
Just waiting to recieve a copy of the instrumental Ep aswell... Can't wait!

im just a fan of quality music with a solid message. straight from the central coast of cali where kids eat up soft fluff from the radio while the chill cats stay bumpin that real sh!t. thrown fresh into college with a music history consisting of bay g funk and west coast gangsta during my elementary school years evolving into love for reggae, dub rock, metal and punk.... the first day, i met some chill mofucker that i matched my sack with... in turn, he introduced me to the underground scene.... he played some dope sh!t for me namely cunninlynguists, zion-i, soul position, eyedea and abilities, pharcyde.... then he threw on the musical dope. i thought all that sh!t was cool but when he put on the p, it was like nothing else i have ever heard. the pure funk. the hardest of pure funk. y'all inspired me to take this sh!t and run with it. i love this sh!t. thanks thes. thanks dubble. thanks for keeping the real in its place.

that has to be my all-time favorite line that dub spits. It's the 1st line that stuck in my head being exposed to the P. Musical dope is all around -

From Derry, N.Ireland, but based in Manchester, England - been a fan of the P since 2000, after me mate introduced me to 'The Next Step' (he'd been Deejaying before them at a show in Belfast and passed on the word)
Love all their records (Thes's production just gets better and better) - my favourite songs have to be 'We'll be There', and 'Plunken 'Em'
Saw the guys live in Newcastle back in 2002 - Thes, Double K, and Jazzmak put on a great show - looking forward to the next tour.
I love listening to the likes of Edan, Stereolab, MF Doom, Giant Panda and the like (and as much crazy-sh!t as possible) - can't wait for the next PUTS record though! -

Im a big P fan and although I have been checkin out this site for a while, I just started checking out this forum. I live in OC, but my husband and I spend most our free time in LA, looking for good music...Weve been fans of the PUTs since 99', and have continued to like them more and more with every new record. Also big fans of giant Panda, and Crown city rockers.... " Doin it" is great as well, Thes and Raashan Ahmad make a good team. Well, Im glad there is a site like this to Post new sh!t about the P.
