I discovered the P around the time of Question in the Form of an Answer and have been hooked ever since. My favorite tracks would have to be Hang Loose pt. 2 and Fly Love Song. My Stepfather CD should be coming in the mail today with the hiphopsite promo CD, Red Headed Stepfather, which is supposed to have the fake leak and 2 official bonus tracks. I do have the Tuxedo Rap 12" and the extended disco mix is fire.
Anyone know when the 2LP for Stepfather will be available? -

im fairly quiet so dont expect much babel from me.
i spent 90 quid on a ticket to reading for the weekend so i could see PUTS - i think the first time i heard them was when i was in Woodbridge VA visiting friends, i ended up in a bizzare situation listening to there music while sitting on a porch, but anyway

Love the PUTS have loved the vibe since well years now.
I am moving over to the US this year i live in London and will miss out on there UK date i am really pissed off about that.
Just whatever you guys do don't stop it because without the PUTS its just not worth it. -

I moderate the forums over at http://www.hiphopsite.com you should check them out for a good discussion of hiphop in general, we've got some pretty interesting usuals over there.

Posts: 2Posted 20 years ago #Well I have been a PUTS fan for a very long time, and what I love the most is the beats.
Thes One is a genius behind the MPC3000, and makes it happen every time. Hearing his work in the past albums made me love the PUTS more and more. Even between records THes one's sound grew better and better. His work with Crown city rockers and Aashan Ahmad was amazing and would prove the next PUTS album would be the best one.
After making a special order for this CD, I finally got it.
This album was different, and please don?t get mad but I found it to be disappointing. What happened to the fresh beats!!!!
Did THes one give away all his best beats to the other crews?
I feel ripped off, Thes one gave away all his best beats away and used generic beats for PUTS new album.
After listening to the album for a long time, I still couldn?t believe it. There wasn?t one song that stood out from the rest like there previous albums. I even herd a recycled beats in one song from a previous album.
THes one should sell an album with his work with other crews, and also PUTS work for samplers albums. ( like the songs, ?Sunroof?, and ?Simply Underground?.)
This might come off like a major hater on the PUTS. But I really do have a lot of love for there music and consider them as the savers of hip hop. Its not that I totally hate this album but it?s not at the top of my best PUTS album.
Please don?t hate me but this is my opinion, and I really do love PUTS. I have every album they put out and went on major hunt for them and paid a lot of money for special import cds.

Although i have been heavily into the PUTS for some time now, I finally got my act together and signed up so i could post stuff.
I am a massiv Hip Hop fan and always down to talk about sh!t, especially PUTS or hip hop related.
On the Friday night just gone I saw PUTS at the Forum in Sydney, it was an unbelievable show and probably one of the best nights of my life.
We met the guys, scored heaps of dope product ( limited edition tuxedo rap mekalek remixes, hand made clear viynl ), and partied with the guys until dawn at the after party in Kings Cross, it was a crazy night.
Big shout out to PUTS again for puting on an amazing performance at the show and after party, they played the best set, and gave me so many memories that i'll never foget.
Anyone in Sydney or anywhere in Australia that recently saw PUTS reading this, hit me back, let me know how your shows went.
To Thes and Dub K, if you happen to read this, thanks again for being so down to earth and still creating the best hip hop music this world is yet to hear.

I've been listening to PUTS since their first release, mostly for the beats (my gosh where do you guys dig up those samples and drums!!?) Pabs, i'm feelin you a little on what you said. Although i felt like it was by far the best produced album, sound quality, etc (i liked the raw sound from their last albums, too.) the samples didnt seem as mind blowing as the previous records. I'm not hating either, the album was great, i just felt a little slighted. Pfffft, i wouldnt be on this board if i wasnt a fan of the P.
