Honestly I can't sink my teeth into the hype. The drive-through was backed up like, 100+ cars for the first three days so I didin't even bother. When I finally ended up there it was 1AM and I thought the fries sucked. I'll never try driving through becuase gas costs too much, dummies in their SUVs waiting an hour whilst idiling thier engines, shieeet!
Edit: Burgers were fresh tho'. On the real tho just give me a whopper.

Posted 19 years ago #Yeah, in and out isn't as dope as it is hyped to be.
It's mad greasy and the fries are kind of lame. Then again you can get a 5x5(five patties, five pieces of cheese)..actually i think you can get even a 10x10 or higher...
Fat Burger is that sh!t though. -

You're out of your element, Donnie.
Whoppers are precooked, frozen, then microwaved when you place your order...
I've been to In 'N Out once - last month when driving from SF to Tahoe. I'm a fan of the simple menu - burgers w/ or w/out cheese, fries, soda and milkshakes. I got a double double and some fries. I loved the burger - fresh beef makes a huge difference. I like the 1000 Island and grilled onions on my burgers, too. The fries were perfect - fresh cut potatoes, thin, crispy but not too crispy. The only fastfood place in the Midwest with burgers as fresh and as good as these is Culver's. -
Posted 19 years ago #When I was out in Southern California, I got to hit up In N Out and Jack In The Box.
In N Out was good. I remember eating the burger kind of fast. Almost like I was eating White Castle's.
Jack In The Box was also good. The funniest part to me was when I heard the the woman say "Yumbo Yack" like how George Lopez says in his comedy. I almost spit my drink out in my girl's face when I heard that. She had to calm me down.
We had the best hot dog at The Getty Center. Maybe it was the combination of being hungry and all the walking we did, but damn that was a good hot dog. -
Posted 19 years ago #I was reading this topic thinking to myself, "what a coincidence, our city just got one too." and then I go and read your name and see that you're live in Tucson also. Haha, cool coincidence, wouldn't happen to go to the U of A would you?

Posted 19 years ago #In the UK we just gotta place called Zorbas in out town....those pizzas they make are the sh!t!!
-
Posted 19 years ago #We used to have a Zorbas here in Chicago on Halsted, but different than what you are talking about. It was a Greek fast food place in Greektowm, about 2 blocks from campus. Used to make many a late night run there for a cheap burger and fries combo.
-
Posted 19 years ago #Yeah man this is a Greek place too....its openin up all around my area..!
Its well worth it your right....especially if u got the munchies!!
Wish there was more 'in and out' and 'whitecastle' places in the UK but instead we're stuck with fukin MCD and Bking!!
Blaze too -
Posted 19 years ago #Although I love McDonalds and Burger King and could do with one now!!

Posted 19 years ago #i cant hate on in n out one bit. except that they package the spread now and its hard to open with greasy fingers.
been havin it since i was little munchkin. I have to say tho, some areas are better than others, Nothing compares to the fresh taste and ingredients.(not frozen) Sometimes you get wack fries, just depends what area your in, and how they make it. I live about 2 min away from one, i have other fast food here and there, but its not the same as in n out
i like my double animal style, with also raw onion + everything
i wont have pickles in my burger anywhere else, but
simple menu, and custom made to order, more meat or with a lettuce wrap, no franchise, and family owned -
Posted 18 years ago #How random. I'm wearing an In-N-Out T-Shirt someone sent me from Cali (don't ask why, I don't know. I still rock it about the house when everything else is dirty though) and it still took me a minute to figure out what you were talking about!
It's the place where they do the 'wish sandwich' innit? i.e. where you have two slices of bread and wish you had some meat. That'd be me if I ever became vegetarian. Which will never happen.
