piercehannigan said: not if you think david t. walker, Star of The Story and Little Beavers sh!t is too tight by itself. and i wouldnt have been able to find these songs without thes and double k. and its not sacrilegious if you think that knowing how it was made and where it came from is real cool. should show some respect that i like to find theyre samples. i mean you dont see me giving a f*** if 50 cent is possibly pinching songs(yeah i know Thes didnt pinch that sh!t i aint talkin sh!t) or where his songs are sampled from.
yo thes, no need to get heated. i was just questioning whether or not you heard that InI sh!t before you made acid raindrops or not. obviously you know what happened to you. but i can understand how you would want to defend yourself. id do the same sh!t if i had some f*** questioning my sh!t. but whatever.
Look, maybe you don't realize what kind of accusation your making when you say what you say. We don't sell platinum records and we don't get commercial accolades, so alot of the time all we have to make us feel good about what we are doing is that we are doing the right thing - what we feel like is the right way to pass on this art and keep things moving. My statement is not DEFENDING myself, i assure you dude I have nothing to defend on this topic. And recognize that, as far as I'm concerned calling me a biter is just about the worst thing you can say - so of course im going to respond.
No one owns any of these samples, we're all out there doing our best (well at least alot less of us nowadays) to find fresh sh!t and some of us still care about breaking new records. The things you may know about sample wise are just the surface of what goes down on an album - and as far as OST is concerned, dudes are just now catching up to SOME of the sh!t i broke on that album, the Duralcha drums being one. And large pro just used that. Does that make large pro a biter? HELL NO, who knows if he even heard our album...jumping to those type of conclusions to be critical or worse yet call someone a biter only reiterates that the internet is full of people saying sh!t they would not say to someone in real life. I would def. slow the roll on that sh!t, or at the minimum, if you have issues with PUTS, hold that sh!t tight until you can meet up with Double K and me next time we are in your town. We will be more than willing to settle any concerns, beefs etc. The internet is not the place.
Lastly, and this thread is f***ing done for sure - if you really are concerned with what I'm using and what i'm doing on albums like OST, at least name something beyond the most common sh!t on there, perhaps the originals to Montego Slay, OST, Joyride, the LA song etc.
Come on yall, you should know better to question our digging skills or ethics.
PEACE!
