I downloaded it as IMDB said it had Cut Chemist in it and I was like what the f***?!
Not got around to watching it yet though, seems hard to find a time I'm in the mood to sit through a 'coming of age dramam about teen pregnancy' or whatever it is!
Is it worth a watch though you reckon? Or purely for the soundtrack?!
I think that the film was okay, nothing special really. I guess I had my hopes set too high because of all the hype. The dialog was almost a bit too clever for it's own sake, you know. The cameo was cool, but it really went by so quickly that I've almost missed it, and I knew that it was coming.
I didn't know Cut Chemist was in it and started laughing immediately when he walked in. No one else I was with knew what I was laughing at either. Did you notice his logo on the dry-erase board behind him?
There is a lot of cool LA art showcased in the film as well. I spotted art from Kozyndan, Tara McPherson, and David Choe. I'm sure there is more that I missed. Lots of cool indie rock mentions as well.
I actually really like the movie. I plan to pick up the DVD later.
I thought this movie was funny. Michael Cera (the main guy) is pretty funny, in an awkward sort of way. Still, its one of those movies you see with your girl.
