Question for all the educated hip-hop heads:
Where does the "Do you like scratchin'?" sample come from that many DJ's use? Is it from a song? I feel like I knew at one time - maybe an old graffiti film?
PUTS uses it at the end of "The Heat"
A Tribe Called Quest uses it in "Pubic Enemy"
There are probably many other examples.

Posts: 34Posted 18 years ago #dunno man... what comes to the hiphop films, that sample is not from Wildstyle or Style Wars as far as i know, Beasties had exerpt from Wild Style in their Check Your Head album but no no "i like sratching" from those two... might be from Beat Street, ive only seen like 2 mins of the beginning... -
