Posts: 594Posted 17 years ago #i remember going to see the P at a free instore and signing at the SF Amoeba a couple days after stepfather came out, and it was the motherfuckin coolest thing ever! actually not quite as cool as later that night when i smoked a blunt with double K after they played their show at the Independent -

Its brand new and heavy as a chevy and in fact
The P is coming and I know they're not wack

Yo I hit them up again today.
I asked if I could have a list of this months instores. They asked me who I was looking for and I told them People Under the Stairs. She said there was nothing listed but I could check the website to stay posted. I asked her about other locations and she said theres 1 in Berkley and 1 in San Fran. I asked if she knew if they might be playing there and she started geting short with me and referred me to the website again. So I made up some bullshizzle and told her Im from the L.A. area ( witch isnt bs) and that Im with a group of about 40 people at a local college that sets up free shows for students and was wondering who I need to talk to, to set up an in store with Ameoba because I think the turnout would be good and it might make you guys some money. She told me it doesnt work like that and that the only time groups have instores is when they have an album coming out. I then had to bitchslap her upside the head with the Sept 30th release of FUN DMC. and again she referred me to the website
I got the san fran # from her and called it. Some girl answered and I asked her the same thing. She put me on hold and then some dude picked up and asked "hi are you calling about the P.U.T.S. instore?" I told him "you bet your damn ass I am!" na..I just said yes..lol and he told me that there was an instore recently booked at the (*fingers crossed*, please be L.A) "Berkley location." Dang...I gave him the same BS story about the college thing and he told me to try and get ahold of the group on "thier MySpace or something." Hehe. So it looks like the instore was booked for OCT 1ST at the Berkley Amoeba. If we keep buggin', I think we can convince them to do the L.A show. Lets keep it goin yall! -

Me: Hi I was wondering when the date for the PUTS in store show is for the release of Fun DMC
Ameba: OMG, another one? Alot of people have been calling asking about that.
Me: Yeah, everyones been talking abou it
Ameba: Really?Well, I have the monthly in-store roster right here, and it dosn't say anything about PUTS this month, but maybe in october. So sorry, im not really sure
Me: Its all good, thanks for the help
Ameba:Your welcome, try checking back in a couple of weeks
I dont know man. It sounded like everyone working there knows people want PUTS to do a show. Im hopefull, but she said it is pretty much impossuble that it will be this month.

I def. won't be this month now but we are hoping this public pressure will turn a NO into a maybe into a ok fine.
If not we gonna get a flatbed truck and park this sh!t across the street at Jack in the box and do an "outstore" -

and make it a video for one of the tracks!!

I will forward this information to my other 10+ friends who would love to help out the P.
I suggest you do that Jack In The Box show. Tell everyone that purchasing a #2 with Curly Fries will gurantee you a section in the first 5 rows. It's a win-win situation.
As long as we have a show in LA I'm a happy person (Even though I'm already driving out to the San Clemente Show).
