Hey, can someone explain why my post was deleted with
the 'Fun DMC' stream???
It is on a legit website which is taking pre-orders to sell the disc.
It's not like you can download illegally from the site.
Why not let peeps listen to the album and build anticipation??
I would never post the P's music for peeps to just leech off, cuz at the
end of the day, they gotta get theirs for putting a dope ass record
together, but cmon now...a stream??

Seriously though, that streaming player was for press people to listen to the album so they could review it or run features in advance, that way by the time the magazine goes to print it is around the same time the album is dropping.
The web page was SUPPOSED to have a password but it seems sometimes like i'm the only one on our side who truly understands wtf is going on. Sorry but the site was taken down, and on that note, you probably won't see alot of reviews or features in print press for the album.
We are working on the snippets still and all that, we still got over a month till it comes out!!!!
There will be bits and pieces coming out, remixes, etc.... look out!
and spread the word.

This isn't the first link that has been posted to a streamer but it is, as you said, a legitimate website selling the album and you did encourage people to buy it, which i appreciate.
BUT - the only reason the streaming players are up on the sale sites is because the label f***ed up royally and unlike everyone else's albums that haven't come out yet (which you can't listen to until they drop) ours is playing on there. And it makes it easy for people to rip it, upload it to the torrents, and so it begins. And honestly, I didn't spend $100K on studio equipment and bust my ass for two years so someone could listen to my album on a 64kbps stream - AND AT THAT ONE THAT PLAYS THE SONGS IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER!
It's not the way i want people to experience FunDMC for the first time.

Sure that sh!t is out there, and there ain't sh!t i can do about it, but a label snafu isn't going to be promoted on this website.

I was under the impression that the label released it to retailers for this purpose, otherwise I wouldn't have posted. But I def see the problem if the label funked up..and you're right, someone would probably try to make a sh!tty webrip, which does ruin the first time listening experience.
I'm a long time fan, so dont want to do anything to hurt the P's process and progress, and for my and the fans' sake, I never want to do anything from discouraging the P to keep up the recording and dropping of that freshness.
I just hope after this release peeps really turn their heads and finally recognize that the P is part of the hip hop elite.
Anyhoo...on to getting a damn LA show so this LA native can roll!!! -

Whenever one's post gets removed, in a way it feels like you have been censored. So it leaves a nasty feeling. The people that are on this message board are PUTS diehards. So even though the new album gets leaked here, I can bet that that's not gonna stop any of us from buying the actual album. At least it's not gonna stop me. There's no feeling like the feeling you get when you tear off the plastic to a new album by one of your favorite bands. -

And you must understand i will continue to remove links to album links, of mine, double k, puts and any other artist who is trying to make a living out of selling music.
now, i am going to lock this thread and add this little tidbit:
