   Thes One said: word, man i don't mind drunk people at shows, hell one could even say we promote it. I don't even mind when people yell requests (within reason) at least i know people have favorite songs they want to hear. But i won't tolerate personal disrepect before or after the show, like cats stealing my personal belongings because "I owe them for their support" which has been told to me. And these aren't the dudes that support, these are the dudes that download. They are the ones that aren't sure which album SF knights is on. I know whose who, I can usually tell immediately.
   
   I would hate to punch a fan in the face, but if you break my car window, try to steal double K's record bag, or take any of my sh!t, I don't care how many albums you bought, you're gonna catch one.
   
   this is still hip hop.
   
   that being said, I am going to try to get to booking this UK tour, just give me some time, I 'm a one man business show here.

   
   
   Oh and by the way if you get to Manchester next time your over ill defo be at the show and if anyone lets the side down and tries anything ill personally slap the sh!t out of the offender for both of you .

   See, thats the f***ed up thing. I love Manchester, I love beatin rythym, all of that. The show that night was one of my favorite we've done in the UK in a long time. It sucked to walk out and have to deal with that.
   
   None of this is stopping us from coming back to the UK, let me be very clear.
   
   We are not touring over there right now because of booking agent issues, and prior engagements, nothing more. I imagine we'll be there soon. You can help by calling the Jazz Cafe and requesting the show.
   
   I can deal with all of the bullshizzle, it's minimal compared to the battles we've had in this industry to still be around after ten years
   
   I'll take a couple of excited and drunk fans any day of the week over going heads up against the major labels in the US.

   dude maybe I'm misunderstanding you but I think shouting for a song is worlds apart from stealing someones' glasses. I wouldn't vic a strangers sh!t and I sure as hell wouldn't steal from my favorite hip-hops!

   
   
   Its cool you have alot of passion for what is a world class hip hop group i can dig that mate . Part of the reason i love catching live shows is to enjoy the set list and see how the lads mix their hits up in their OWN way not how i might like it . If they play a favourite so be it if they dont theres still a
   shitload more songs that i love to be going on with . Honestly take it from a few fans that having to listen to some bloke scream at the top of his voice for the setlist to be disrupted for his joint after every song finishes whilst you wait patiently gets right on your tits . Just be happy the lads are in town playing for everyone not just you .

   Thes One thanks for the replies. I know how busy you are with promo and stuff but i would like to pickup on what MM_DOB was saying. The P are amazing and for me one of the best bands around - ever. They keep it real....
   
   One of my friends said the P have to organise and pay for their own flights. The PUTS have gone through tough times especially in the UK and still show love by coming our way despite all the crap that has happened. why don't we show some love and help the P out. Maybe sort out some contribution to their flights or sort out a venue? I'm sure people know promotion companies and places in london or elsewhere the p can play.
   
   Maybe like a 3 day concert down in london - so all the P fans can make it down - that would ensure more quality fans and not drunken uni/random people.
   
   Anyway be good to hear what other people say and Thes One.
   
   This could be the first for any band where the fans help to make the gigs happen!

   man there's a few things that crowds do in the UK thats like, what the f*** are you idiots thinking? For example throwing sh!t on the stage... even if your enjoying the show... what the hell is that about. I remember seeing Ian Brown getting hit in the face with a full pint at a festival, he didn't like that too much.
   
   I'd love to go see some hip hop gigs in the US, just to check out the vibe there compared to what its like here. From what i've seen on youtube and stuff it seems to be a bit more subdued. I guess it depends on the tone of the group thats playing. I've watched a few videos where people are just standing there nodding their head to a beat which would make me breakdance like i had epilepsy. Ah well, each to their own.
   
   Yo thes, if your going to the jazz cafe, then you gotta come up to glasgow, cos obviously you have to please all the fans all the time (joke)

   strange...that no one has commented on the idea of organising or supporting getting the P down to the UK.
   
   anyway Thes I reckon you stay away from idiots and do some gigs in london. people will travel far and wide to reach you. hell i dont even live in london but they got more of a respectful vibe then most places....

   I dont know if Thes and Double have had enough of the booking agent they use in the U.K ? Who knows unless one of them says so on here but do you think they are going to trust someone off here to organise a bonafide gig for them just on the strength of an internet chat ? I doubt it . It would take someone that they could wholeheartedly trust to set such an event up . The only way a fan driven gig could happen is as Thes has said would be to contact the Jazz Cafe and demand it happens . I live in Manchester but id go to London to check them no problem at all

    I totally agree. If it was that easy to put on a gig then there'd be a legendary hip hop group touring the UK every week. I don't know what its like down south, but in glasgow its inevitably a struggle to try and put a successful night on, unless your established promoter. Especially with good music like we listen to. I've seen loads of attempts at hip hop, funk, afro-beat, brasilia etc type nights crash and burn. Unless your pumping house music or electro, there isn't much hope for a successful repeating night in glasgow. Whats it like where you guys are, manchester, london etc?

    The scene here in Manchester is pretty stagnated to be honest which probably reflects the music times in the UK as at the monent with regards to what kids are checking etc etc. There are some good clubs which continue to pull suprises and we dont do bad for visiting rappers passing through so i cannot complain really but like you say anything slightly decent concerning hip hop doesnt seem to last long . Liverpool has some pretty cool hip hop nights happing at the moment though so ive found myself down there a few times lately

    i used to run a night in Portsmouth which lasted for two years but it was a struggle, we finished on a high with Charlie chase and Prince Whipper whip for the wildstyle anniversary.
    other shows in portsmouth had everybody from Bambaata to lord finesse, even the P.
    
    all that is gone now and theres a lot to the commercial aspects hitting the clubs. the respectful hip hop scene as we knew it is gone from the city.
    
    Isle of wight and Southampton are still holding their ground with great acts

    I was at the Manchester gig at the Roadhouse in 06, and a small number of the crowd really did f*** me off - one severely drunken idiot walked across the stage between songs to take a shortcut to his similarly inebriated dickhead mates (who all seemed intent on ruining the fun for anyone anywhere near them) which I found really disrespectful. But I suppose there's always one or two fools everywhere. It was still a great show, mind
