   Yo, I need some help, I would like to purchase a set of turntables and a mixer, but I live in NC, which they don't sell any! so any suggestions?

   I feel ya Author, but unfortunately after checking craigslist, and if there is not a big music store near you (e.g. sam ash or guitar center), then all you are left with is the high price of shipping and handling in the online world.

   Definitely try ebay, that's where I first started out buying my gear online. So far so good no problems what so ever.
   
   What sort of equipment are you planning to buy i.e Vestax, Technics etc?
